Our Kitchen Aid Side/Side Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We waited over a year, after we paid for this Refrigerator, and it finally arrived--We Love it ;and have been Kitchen Aid People for Life, and I just turned 78 on March 26th. It did arrive with a broken drawer, and the drawers are still a bit sticky, but we always know that Kitchen Aid has our backs, and KA knows that we are very Loyal Customers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pretty piece of crap

I love the way it looks and have the whole suite of matching appliances. I am having the am having the same issue with the refrigerator freezing over because there is no defrost element. Instead the system relays on a fan to defrost the coils. I dont even buy food anymore because my fridge doesn’t work properly. This replaced my kitchenaid side by side I had for 20 years that I loved. Should have kept it instead of “upgrading”. Kitchenaid do better!

Extremely disappointed w/Quality and Service

I purchased this model and had it installed 1 month ago. After only 1 month, this fridge is leaking cold water on my new wood floors. Whirlpool service cannot get someone out to repair it for 6 days. I was told it is my responsibility to figure it out in the next 6 days. Now that I am reading the reviews, this seems to be a common problem. Regretting my decision, and now on my own to have it fixed to prevent further damage to my floors.

Quit working after 2 months, repairs impossible

Bought this fridge for our remodeled kitchen. Worked for 2 months, then slowly it all stopped working. We have had a non working refrigerator for 6 weeks now. That's unacceptable! Have had 3 techs out to diagnose it. The last one said this is a really bad repair to do on a new fridge. Parts are order, including a new compressor. Have contacted KitchenAid Customer Service 3 times asking for a replacement. They say the warranty is a repair, not replace warranty. We are tired of living without a refrigerator. And not happy with Kitchenaid!!!!

Good But Noisy Ice Maker and Cheap Drawers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this primarily because the ice storage was in the door and freed up much of the top portion of the freezer for storage. Overall, it's decent, but here is a list of pros and cons: PROS: Ice in freezer door, extra tall space for water dispenser allows for taller cups, door shelf design makes for easy removal and cleaning. CONS: Leveling doors is a pain and user manual does not clearly explain instructions, ice maker is loud, plastic drawers and shelves seem flimsy and cheaply made

First Name Basis with the Appliance Repair Company

This refrigerator has been such a disappointment. I am on a first name basis with the appliance repair company. Poorly designed & built. In four years the freezer door has had be replaced three times under the extended warranty luckily & now on third door the refrigerator section is not cooling to the setpoint of 37F & the extended warranty has ended. On first door the wires between the refrigerator & the freezer door broke due to the poor design. The second door had issues with the ice maker water fill line.
