Water filter problem

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new refrigerator failed almost immediately. Every time the ice maker cycled to fill with water, the water filter door would come open, causing a water mess inside the unit. The refrigerator has been replaced, but we already had a service call on the new one, no water at the dispenser. Tech claimed that our water pressure was too high, which I have adjusted and hoping the problem does not reoccur.

Counter depth spacious storage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for less than a week but can already see that I will require a service call based on the noise. The noise has steadily increased, not just for ice making—constant running, from the date of install by the authorized dealer. All the features, including the in door ice maker/storage fit my needs from the prior refrigerator. Noise is my only complaint at this time.

Very nice exterior design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of the draws is very weak. Very light plastic and it seems it is going to break any moment when I open the draws. Very disappointed. The quality rating is low because of the draws. Question: What kind of material is the exterior? It is not sterling steel, right?

Loved every bit until...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Less than two weeks after the professional installation of this refrigerator, our water and ice dispenser suddenly stopped working. We checked all the obvious possibilities as recommended in our manual for troubleshooting and still not working. We are currently waiting on a service appointment for repair. I’m more than a little disappointed to have something go wrong when it is so new. I just hope it isn’t a sign of things to come with this appliance.

Just the right size

My only complaint is that the right door (refrigerator side) does not close on its own like my old fridge did. If I don't push it every time to close, it will just fall open all the way or just stay open. Not happy about that. The freezer door is perfect.

Working great except...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would love this refrigerator except the drawers feel cheap. One of them doesn’t roll very well and they are just feel very light weight and like plastic. This was not a cheap refrigerator and I purposefully chose KitchenAid because I generally feel like they have quality products. I also feel like the refrigerator door is missing a shelf and the freezer looks like it could use another shelf. So far it is working well for the 5 months I’ve been using it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Black stainless steel is actually like a gunmetal gray. The photo online is quite deceiving... great fridge, but that is not black
