Great fridge with good features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice upgrade after our kitchenaid fridge died after 20 years of use.
Only thing that is disappointing is the chrome plate under ice and water.
Gets scratched and would like this to be black or something that will not
spot or scratch!

The doors were a bit difficult to get levelled.
and unfortunately, the drawers are cheap material and look scratched and old already. Expected better value.

Best Side-by-Side for the Money!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This KitchenAid 22.6 cubic foot has all of the features that were on our list. Salad and Fruit Drawers with ample space; an additional drawer for our cheeses and sliced meats; real glass shelves; solid and spacious door shelves; ice maker in the door leaves ample space in freezer for food storage. Can't beat the ease of use!

Excellent Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a new KitchenAid Gas Range and decided to buy a new KitchenAid Microwave & Refrigerator to match. We love all the new KitchenAid Appliances we purchased but the refrigerator is the favorite. It has all the features and more room. It was designed to give much more space than our previous refrigerator. It is so nice to have more freezer and food storage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refrigerator door sticks out one quarter of inch further than the freezer door because of an improper fitting door seal. I was told by the repair service that Kitchen Aid sent out to look at it that nothing could be done to make it fit properly. I was told by Kitchen Aid that nothing else could be done, but they would inform production and said I would not hear back from them again regarding the door seal. Also, the lights inside the refrigerator cast yellow shadows on all the surfaces making them appear dirty. Mechanically it seems to work okay. I owed a Kitchen Aid refrigerator before, and had excellent service, which is why I bought another one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful design and quiet, but sharp edges inside

I have a loft-style place with no walls between the sleeping and living area/kitchen so one of my desired features was quiet operation. This fridge is definitely quiet and it seems to work very well. I like the ice and water on the door, but I wish the plastics on the dispensers were a bit more sturdy. Even though the style is different, the flimsy feel is way too similar to the MUCH cheaper Whirlpool that it is related to. The fridge is well-designed and can be placed with its side against a wall and still open - something that I didn't know I needed until I started researching these things.
My only actual complaint is that the drawer edges are made with razor-sharp edges. I have pretty tough skin and I realized I was getting "paper cuts" from just using the drawers inside. I have read a lot of reviews mentioning this too.
Overall I am satisfied, but for the huge price premium, there should be A LOT more attention paid to fit/finish and materials compared to the cheaper models within the brand family.
