Perfect model for our needs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We prefer side by side models so we are not bending down to dig for frozen foods too often. We make left overs with out Instant Pot often and so the freezer is used quite a bit. The ice and water dispenser is working really well. The filters are easy to change. The refrigerator seems a bit cold, so we are still adjusting the levels--especially foods near the freezer seem to not defrost well at all. We wish there were one more shelf for the refrigerator, freezer, and refrigerator door. So we will be adding those in an order. The ice maker makes some noise, but it's not as loud as our old refrigerator. We can fit a lot more in this refrigerator, so it's making us all happy.

needs better configuration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Frig is too cold, milk was freezing, had to turn it up a few notches from the default; interior lights protrude so drawers scrape against them when opening; frig shelves should have more options for placement; freezer needs one more shelf (had to buy a hanging shelf to utilize unused space. Would only recommend if exterior dimensions were a determining factor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Classy Refrigerator!

However, on two occasions the water dispenser froze up, but I was able to raise the temperatures temporarily to the freezer and refrigerator, and within a few hours it was fine. Also, we measured the space in the kitchen for the appliance, even allowing height for leveling feet, but upon delivery it did not fit our space! It was too tall. Good thing my husband has carpentry skills and altered the cabinets above the space for proper placement. Measure three times your space and the fridge on the showroom floor!

Counter-Depth Side-by -side Refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this was the third KitchenAid refrigerator we have purchased in 5 years, it was also back ordered when we purchased the unit, when we finally received the unit we feel it is not as well built as the previous two we have purchased in the last 5 years. all of them operate great the the quality of construction is just not as good on this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge during the pandemic because we had a crappy Samsung that did not live up to its promise “to make tons of ice” and also the temp was not accurate ruining our food. This was a little more than I wanted to pay because it was low profile. BUT... I LOVE IT and will only by KichenAid appliances from now on!! Thank you KitchenAid for making an awesome product!!! makes ice all the time and keeps Yhe food perfect!!

Great interior lighting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced a nearly identical (size and configuration) 14 year old KitchenAid refrigerator with this one a year ago. The good features: nice interior lighting, exterior finish easier to clean, controls on freezer door are nice but require checking with the manual for some operations, temperature control seems to be working well.
Dislikes: Although the frig is the same overall size as the previous KitchenAid, the interior shelves of both compartments are not as deep. One freezer shelf was missing on delivery, which I did not realize for a long time, and supposedly another one is being sent to me. An additional basket in the freezer would be nice. The drawers in the refrigerator are cheaply made, and do not have roller guides, as the previous KitchenAid did. I usually have to give them a second push to align correctly and close. When replacing the water filter I had difficulty closing the cover and had to ask someone else with a stronger arm to close it. (Yes, I had the filter aligned correctly.)

Very nice but some issues

Great looking

Great looking but do think a little pricey for quality and what you get. Disappointed in crispers, they are very flimsy and do not slide easily. But overall satisfied and. Whirlpool customer service is always great.
