Great side-by-side

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Plenty of room and features are easy to use. However, the water filter compartment isn't the best. The latch on ours broke from one cartridge replacement. I've got it working but it isn't really fixed. Would like to see the drawers better constructed. It's a cheap track system, they don't hold weight very well and are hard to open and close. Our other KitchenAid fridge, which had metal slides, was a better drawer system.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit has been in for just 4 days now I am very happy about its all around cooling and space features. I use a lot of ice for fishing and am glad to see that it keeps up with my demand. The water dispenser is made well to eliminate the drip that makes its way down the front of most refrigerators. I would like to get a complete user manual.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought to replace a more expensive GE model which was French Door, but died at 3.5 years of age. I always loved Kitchenaid, but this doesn't seem like they used to be. Drawers are quite flimsy and don't slide well. There are very limited options for spacing of the shelves in both the refrigerator and the freezer. I love the wine rack which hangs well above a shelf so that you still but things below it and the wine bottles aren't rolling around on a shelf. It makes a sort of vibration sound off and on whenever it is running -- not nearly as quiet as I'm used to (this is not including the ice maker and water sounds). But for the first time in several years, our ice cream and sorbet are really hard in the freezer, and so far the temps in the refrigerator are very constant and good. The ice cubes are really tiny. That seems to mean they replenish quickly, but I wish the cubes were a little bigger. Overall, it's better than that last GE.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this fridge so much. Such nice touches, bright light inside, spacious. Love how you can measure the water from the dispenser. Keeps food nice and cold etc. I feel that there should be more door shelves provided though at least one or two more. Also our door already has a small ding and I have no idea how it would happen. If it was just those 2 things I would give 5 stars, the real problem is the edge of the drawers leading into the inside of the bins is SUPER sharp to the point where both my husband and I have cut ourselves and drawn blood. I don't think we're being careless, the corners should be rounded and if squared off shouldn't be so sharp!

We had thought about getting a small stand alone freezer, but there is so much room in the side by side freezer we didn't need to. My only complaint is the drawers for produce are not very sturdy and the ice maker is rather loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice refrigerator. There are a few things that could use some attention and maybe re-engineering.
Water fill and ice maker fill are much louder than expected.
The crisper drawers just feel flimsy and one of ours has such sharp edges on it we will have to figure out a solution to...I hate to have to modify a brand new appliance.
Overall we love the look of it and are happy with the counter depth.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying this side by side as much as my old French Door. The larger refrigerator space is very convenient. I drink a lot of water and love the auto feature where you simply set you glass inside, press the water button and the amount you previously will automatically dispense without you standing there pressing a button.
