What I like

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the unit for a month now. I especially like the door shelves and how they hold large beverages. That frees up the rest of the unit for other items. I also like the ice maker and water dispenser. They are nice improvements over the last Kitchen Aide I had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our refrigerator is only 2 months old, but within the first month we discovered that we had a faulty light switch in the refrigerator side of our side by side. It is on order now. Our door alarm was going off at all hours day and night because the switch was telling the control panel that our door was ajar.
We like the ice maker in the door to give us the extra shelf , the rack for quart and liter bottles and adjustable shelves. We were disappointed to learn, however, that it did not come with an egg bin and would have liked one more shelf for the fridge door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love our new refrigerator, great features and space and love the lighting and compartments. We ordered an extra shelf for the door because there was plenty of space to add one and it increased our space for condiments, etc.

Nice refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When our 15 year old GE started leaking water again, we decided it was time for a new refrigerator. After looking at several, we chose this model. It had all the features and the interior was much more open. In addition, it fits our space much better than the old one. Everything works well but the ice maker in door design seems to result in frost forming under the ice bucket. While I enjoy crushed ice in water, this limits my use of it because it seems to add to the frost problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice LED lighting, interior shelving flexibility, ice maker works well but a bit noisy when filling and freezing (no problem though), larger mug does have access to the water and ice actuators, good exterior finish and easy to clean. The Whirlpool name and maintenance history was a major factor in choosing KitchenAid.
