The ice maker hasn’t worked since day one.

Seems like a nice unit - so far!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a Whirlpool buy back for a 5 year old unit that had many problems. It was similar in size to this unit. The outer shell surface of the new unit is far superior to the stainless steel on the old unit, which was impossible to clean and keep clean. Big problem with Whirlpool Mfg products is the terrible experience in having to deal with their customer service - very long wait times - getting cut off and having to start wait all over - terrible music, so you can't put phone on speaker while you wait. However, once I was finally connected I was able to get resolution, after being turned down by a number of people along the way. on the problem that was not being solved by numerous visits and major part replacements by their designated repair company. Proof that you finally have to get to someone who has the AUTHORITY to make a decision. Thank goodness the problems started while the unit was still covered under the initial 5 year warranty. Consumers Report gives most of Whirlpool products a less than stellar rating because of customer relations services - makes you think that it is geared to have you just give up and go away!!.

Major repair issue

. Six year old Refrigerator been out of commission 2 months
Called service. They have not been able to repair. Informed labor cost maybe considerable since parts are only covered.
Local service called factory master tech who states he has not seen the problem. Dilemma will I have to buy a new refrigerator. Had KA in previous ustom home. Had built in model. It also had a issue that took months to track down. May have made mistake to buy second KA side by side.
Issue still being being followed up by local authorized rep.
Help.

Love it but water leaks

Had this for just over 2 years and now the water drips from the in door water dispenser after shut off. Pool in tray under. Disappointed with that other wise love it.

Nice looking fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this newer model after the disastrous earlier model number of this refrigerator. The older model had soooo many problems. Water leaks, bad ice maker, electrical failures. The electrical wire at the bottom of the freezer door was too short and broke. Luckily, we had purchased an extended warranty. Have had this newer model since November 2021. So far it has been perfect. Keeping our fingers crossed for continued good service.
