What an upgrade!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My prior refrigerator was also a Kitchen Aid - and I got nearly 20 years of great service. Now I almost with it was ready to be replaced earlier, because this new model is so amazing. It seems so much brighter inside and thoughtfully designed - everything has a plac! To be sure though, the real review will come after years of use. I'm looking for high performance AND longevity!

Cheap drawers

Not too pleased with this frig. Frig drawers don't slide easily at all, cheaply made for such an expensive unit. Also, can't purchase this frig without the water and ice machine.

Many cheaply made, flimsy parts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] have had a Kitchenaid refrigerator in every home I have lived in for the past 20 years. This will be the 4th KA fridge. For my new fridge,can't believe how cheap all the inside drawers are; the plastic is super thin and I predict will break quickly, mainly because the lower crisper drawers do not latch into place. There is a little tab on the underside of the crisper shelf that should drop into a sliding channel to prevent the drawer from falling out when you slide it forward. It is machined/molded incorrectly and is off by 1/8". I believe another reviewer pointed this out in the reviews. The crisper glass shelf ( and molded plastic underneath) cannot be pushed back far enough to allow this tab to drop into the sliding channel. The snack drawer shelf is made correctly and does not fall out when opened. Also, the drawers cannot be moved to any position in the refrigerator the way you were able to do in all older KA refrigerators. We like to have the snack drawer up higher in the fridge and create a little narrow-height shelf for the egg carton and other things we don't like to stack. I've read the reviews about icemaker/freezers that will likely fail and I did buy an extended warranty so we will have to wait and see on that issue.

Enjoying the features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying the new side by side refrigerator. The freezer is much more accessible than the bottom freezer I had before. I also enjoy the extra capacity in the ice maker. The unit is attractive and functions very well.

Nice looking, but very poorly made

We bought this refrigerator about a month ago and are very disappointed. We have been loyal KitchenAid customers for years and have always felt like their quality was a step above most other manufacturers. Poor is the only way I can describe the quality of this refrigerator. The features are nice and it certainly looks good, but the interior design and materials are sub-standard. The shelves are flimsy and the drawers fit poorly and one of them falls out every time it is opened. This is due to a manufacturing defect in the shelf supports that are built into the molded plastic interior. The drawers simply don't fit as they should and the issue cannot be fixed. I should note that we had the refrigerator replaced 3 times and all of them had the same issue so this is not an isolated problem. Stay away from this model at all costs. True garbage.

Unattractive style and stainless steel - Ice drops

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had few choices as the refrigerator needed to fit in an exact space replacing GE profile. The old GE profile for the same exterior had much more cf of storage. The GE profile also had a much nicer exterior design. I was told the GE quality is now poor. The stainless steel of the Kitchen Aid is dull and dark. The unit has a very clunky square edge appearance. The dispenser is too low, the ice holder is too small. Cubes of ice will randomly fall out and onto the floor. The only nice things is the interior LED lighting. Generally, not a product that I would recommend if you don't have size constraints. Looking at this fridge makes me want to remodel the kitchen so I can replace with a different brand.

ARE YOU KIDDING REALLY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator September 2019 and as of March 9th, 2020 we are on our 4th refrigerator due to damaged of each one of them. We did take delivery with the 4th refrigerator, however, it was also damaged. A new door and bottom kick plate was damaged and needs to be replaced. We purchased 6 Kitchen Aid appliances for our new home due to the reputation Kitchen Aid has. However, we are very disappointed in the quality of the shipping. As for the the quality of each appliance not sure we haven’t had the opportunity to use them as of yet. Again so very disappointed .

Hello Huintergal1, we are so sorry for the frustration! At this time, we do not have the provisions to assist in inventory, stock, or delivery in customer service. You will need to consult your dealer. Most dealers will order from a storage warehouse or buying group. They do not always purchase directly from the factory.
