I'd call for a warranty repair but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our new refrigerator has been in operation for about 1 month. Ice crystals accumulate under the removable ice bin making it impossible to close when hinged open without removing the ice bin and clearing the accumulated crystals. I'd call for a warranty repair but I've been down that road on a recently purchased KitchenAid oven and their KitchenAid customer service is simply impossible unless you have a few days to spend on hold....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cheaply made

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The door shelves and drawers are made of a cheap flimsy plastic. The drawers do not align properly, the first use a door shelf fell off and cracked. The water dispenser is extremely slow. Says it says it dispenses 4 oz when we get 1 oz

I like the refrigerator and its features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator and had it delivered when I was not here three months later when I came to my winter home, it was here, but it had door damage but your warranty would not cover it because it was more than 30 days since it had been delivered

Great Fridge / Low quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only had the fridge for a couple of months, but the water line system has already frozen up twice. Technician cancelled the house call twice and figured the temperature of the house contributes to the icing. The water system line needs to be better insulated to accommodate the temperature of the environment.

Refridgerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fridge came with misaligned doors. I called them about the issue. They said there gonna get a tech out to fix it. Nothing ever came, I called a 2nd time, nothing ever came, I called a 3rd time they said someone will be getting out to you. No one came. Worst service ever....they just don't want to fix anything. And expect you to do it.

Not working

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit in October 2022 and it quit delivering water and ice. Waiting on part to have fixed. 6 weeks without being able to use this feature. Repair company service person recognized the problem quickly which leads me to believe this has been an ongoing problem with this model. I paid a lot of money for this unit. Kitchen Aid is not the good old reliable company anymore, I am sure. Being in manufacturing myself if my customer has a problem, we replace it and not fix it...

Refrigerator

I’m 73 years old and this is the worst appliance I have ever owned. Fortunately I have a 70 year old GE refrigerator as a backup. I bought KitchenAid appliances (4) because ithe appliances were made in the USA. Ice maker dispenses water when I’m filling my cup with ice. The plastic ice container, located in the door, cracked during process of crushing ice. The plastic front on the lower refrigerator drawer broke. We’re lucky if the refrigerator cools to 48 degrees. Refrigerator purchased at Thanksgiving 2019. All the problems after expiration of warranty
