I am so disappointed with this dishwasher. We have had trouble since it was new in late February. We have had numerous GE dishwashers in the past and this one is terrible. The dealer is coming back tomorrow for the 4th or 5th time to try and fix it. It is almost impossible to start! You have to put it on "Delay" before it will even think about starting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just moved in our new home approx. 1 1/2 months ago. We find the dishwasher easy to use with a nice function board. Looks nice with the other GE appliances in our new home. At first it didn't seem to clean well, but we tried a few other settings and all seems well now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We were originally very frustrated with the constant beeping and changing of the settings on the control panel while leaning against the counter above the dishwasher, we even accidentally started a cycle once! But using the online users manual I figured out how to turn off the noises and lock out the controls, much better! This thing does a great job of actually washing the dishes, but the silverware slots very tight for our dinner forks and knives, and I don’t like the way the bottom rack bangs into the door when you roll it out! But overall we are very happy with it! Oh yeah, it’s extremely quiet too!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We like the dishwasher and would recommend it to others. The layout of the dish trays need a little getting use to, but overall it is another great GE product.

Quiet and efficient but tricky to load

The unit gets dishes clean and runs quietly, and I think the stainless steel interior will prevent the odor buildup that can sometimes be a problem with plastic interiors. However, there are special features that I find myself not using because they add so much time to a cycle (steam settings, bottle washers). Also, the spikes that prop up dishes are okay for use with plates, but they don't work well for small bowls and saucers. And the plastic covers on the silverware basket and cup/glass sections are so annoying that I've removed them altogether. On the whole I'm happy with the dishwasher, but I suspect I could have been content with a less pricy model.

The dishwasher is a great upgrade to our kitchen. It’s very quiet. Cleans the dishes well. The only issue I have is mine. There is no real flow on how to load the dish washer. It’s the same pattern across the top rack, and then the bottom. It does a great job but hard to get used to just putting the glasses in any order.
I would recommend this to a friend!
