Overall, a good washer. But, has short falls.

Overall, this seems to be a good washer with the available features. But, has some short falls.
The things I noticed were:
With a perfect and undamaged shipement box, the water intake bracket was bent. This Caused the hose with fitting to flop loose. I repaired easily.
Second, has to do with the track system for pull out racks. The design seems to be spot on, but the finish product is lacking. The wheels easily snap on to a plastic axle with retainer clips. Simple and effective design. However, the retainer clips to do not flare out enough to retain the wheels on the axle. I continue fighting the wheels, as some of them fall off.

Control on front not good can’t even barely touch it and it goes to start screen very sensitive

Bought New Modular Home - 1 wk old not working

bought new modular home with this dishwasher in it. first couldn't get controls to unlock. Then finally they unlocked and I was able to wash two loads of dishes. Then controls stopped responding. this all happened within one week of receiving new home. Of Course covered under warranty but due to circumstances it still is not fixed. Parts had to be ordered and still waiting on tech to install.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible design for installation

Replaced Kitchen Aid DW and discovered none of existing attachments matched new product and nothing provided to complete installation. Blind attempt to attach 3/4” elbow to cheap plastic fitting resulted in cross threading and ruining water inlet. Had to buy / ship replacement part. Old unit used standard 3/8” water line with straight on connection.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A dishwasher

I like my dishwasher except that the bottons/pad is located so when I accidentally touch it or lean lightly against when reaching into the cablinet above it, it goes into delay or who knows what state.
Looking in the manual after accidently hitting the delay or who knows what, I was unable to start it for 2 days. I finally had to call GE service and after trying everything possible, it was decided that a service call was needed. During the GE call, I have no idea what I did but it cancelled whatever stupid delay was apparently triggered; needless to say, it started when I pushed the start button. This is really pathetic engineering/design. Would I purchase this again? No.
The GE service rep I spoke with was fabulous. She was patient, professional, kind, very knowledgeable and I appreciate her help.
