We purchased the dishwasher to replace one that was in the house we just bought. I researched all types and this one always met our needs on our checklist. I am overall happy with the product. A couple of times dishes did not get fully cleaned but that could be from stacking error on my part. The only complaint that I really have is the Dry Boost button does not always work and that can be very frustrating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

New GE Dishwasher Installed today.

Just had a new GE Dishwasher installed today. Looks very nice and expect solid performance. The old one removed was a GE unit and lasted 19 yrs with vinyl interior. New one is stainless interior tub. Exterior is also stainless. Appears to be pretty quiet in comparison to older unit. Will update as needed.

Controls are the wackiest we have ever encountered

Every dish washer we have had (6 all front control panel machines), close the door, select the wash/drying options and hit start. Away you go. Also, the last settings are held for the next wash. Not this unit. Although the user manual does indicate, before closing door, hit start and select the wash/drying settings. Then close the door and hit start again. It has taken us a long time to get out of the habit of doing that. If one closes the door before hitting start, the machine arbitrarily selects different combinations of settings it wants to use!! So one often has to clear those settings. And sometimes after that hitting start does not work and one has to start all over. Yes we can learn how to use it, but we rent the unit for short term rentals when we are not there. We are afraid most renters will expect to close door and see the options and not know what to do. Or wonder what is bottle wash?? Or why is it not running. We are leaving instructions that the door must be open and start hit then and then again after door is closed. Based on our 6 machine and 4 different manufactures experience, most people will not know this is a required ritual
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Dishwasher

I think it's a great dishwasher, the only thing I really think could be improved is the spacing for how the dishes are set-up on the top shelf as well as the silverware holder. The bottle jets could be on both sides and there should be a lip on both sides of the top rack to hold saucers on both sides of the dishwasher. As for the silverware holder there are some holes that are smaller and some that are bigger but not by much. I think all the holes for the silverware holder should be the same size as the bigger ones on the sides of the silverware holder. I'm not talking about the square ones that are meant to hold the spatulas or bigger serving size spoons or anything.

Poor panel design. Too sensitive

When I stand in front of it or open it turns on, also it does not dry. Therefore after 3 days was full of mild. Very dissapointed
