QUIET!

Our choice was limited by availability. We go by Consumer Reports, usually. However our appliance store didn't carry many options at the time. I miss the lack of a rinse option, and the bottom rack could be configured better to accommodate small bowls. But so far, the dishes are sparkling (Cascade platinum.) Machine is quiet. I'll be content if I'm still happy a year from now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Features - Super Quiet and Cleans Great

Great features. The machine is super quiet. First test run with a full load yielded very clean dishes. I hope this unit last as long as the one that it replaced which was 25+ years. Buy GE for is reputation and quality.

Only worked twice

We have had this dishwasher for 1 month and it has worked only twice. Tech said it needs a new computer and ordered it and it’s in but then the appointment that is available is not for another week. So now we have had a new dishwasher for 1 month that we still can not use. Need to provide faster service. A unit should not need parts after two cycles and should have been replaced as it is obviously defective. If it was a car it would have been a lemon.

Not a good value fir your money

This dishwasher broke only after having it a year and 4 months. First it stopped drying the dishes (even though I picked heated dry) then it stopped draining the water. I thought GE products were great and didn’t need a warranty for year two. Very disappointed and won’t buy their products again.

Also, we suggest to check the rinse agent dispenser and fill as required. You may use such rinse agents such as Cascade® Platinum™ Power Dry™ Rinse Aid or Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid. The use of rinse aid can further enhance the dishwasher’s drying performance.

If your washer isn't draining properly, the drain may be clogged. If you have an air gap, we suggest to clean it. You can check out the Care and Cleaning section of your owner's manual for detailed instruction. If the dishwasher drains into a disposer, run disposer clear. Check to see if your kitchen sink is draining well. If not, you may need a plumber.

We offer helpful troubleshooting tips on page 22 of your manual. If the recommended tips do not help, we suggest to schedule service so a qualified service technician can accurately diagnose and fix this issue. Didn't last long

I bought this in October 2021 and now it's dead. Control panel won't work. It was nice while it worked. I was hoping it would last longer than 15 months. With the high cost of service labor nowadays, it won't be worth it to get it serviced.

Surprised how flimsy it is.

The 20 year old one I replaced was made of nice thick plastic. It worked flawlessly for the past 20 years. I decided to get a new one because the door was rusting out at the screw holes near the bottom. While I was installing the new one, I couldn't help but notice how many times the installation instructions warned about denting the door. I can understand that but it goes beyond the door. The frame is so flimsy, it can sustain damage very easily. The old one was extremely rugged by comparison. It seems like very few of the changes made in the design were done in the interest of the customer. The new one is very quiet, though. That is very well done. But for Pete's sake, don't take any more metal out. It's very depressing.
