How does this thing work?

It sure looks pretty, but there is no rhyme or reason to the way it works. If I lean up on the counter it turns on. If I press the button to turn it on, it doesn't. Or it goes into the mode where it turns on in an hour. The soap that came with the dishwasher is still stuck in the soap holder which didn't open. My broken old dishwasher did a much better job.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, Thanks for reaching out to us, we're more than happy to help! To work this dishwasher, you will press the furthest pad on the left for the desired wash cycle. Pressing the furthest pad on the left will show various cycles in the display window, you can press the pad until the desired cycle is shown. Also, the cycle may be selected with the door in the open position. The cycle will not start until the "Start" pad is pushed and the door is closed within 4 seconds.
