Quiet, affordable, all cycles do a great job

Disclaimer: we've never had a dishwasher before, but we have plenty of family and friends who have informed our expectations so I promise this review isn't just a heaping of uneducated praise. First, to address a couple reviews I've read that say the cycles are very long — they are, but we run it at night while we're asleep so we don't care or notice. If that's an issue for you, there you go. But the reason we even *can* run it at night is because it's SUPER quiet. It's not silent — there are soft mechanical bumps when it switches between functions, and of course you'll hear suction through the air gap when it drains — but from what my dishwasher-experienced friends have told me, its noises are totally normal, and very quiet comparatively to others at the same or higher price point. Unless you're standing right next to it, you don't even notice it. As far as the quality of the cleaning, it does its job extremely well. We've run dishes with sticky stuff like melted parmesan, or pans with baked-on bits, and it's handled everything without issue. I've found it's best to use the longest, hottest setting, along with the presoak, to deal with these tougher messes, but it'll knock them out. And everything is left spot-free, which is nice. This could be the drying/heating function or it could be the rinse-aid, but whatever it is, it's great. That does bring me to one of my disappointments though — adding the rinse-aid is a MESS. The opening is this tiny little hole that is so ridiculously impossible to hit that the first time you try, you'll definitely pour that stuff all over the place. I solved the frustration by putting the rinse-aid into a little squeeze bottle with a tiny little spout (made for icing, I think) to fill it without making a mess; still though, in the 2020s, that's just nonsense. Another thing that was a strange oversight is that it doesn't come with a power cord body. I'm a passable electrician because my best friend is a licensed electrician, so no problem, but it was strange that it wasn't even an included option. Even though it has some minor annoyances in setup, it's a game-changer for us, it does a GREAT job, and we've found that by using a dishwasher cleaner tablet once a month it stays fresh-smelling and clean. Even though we've only owned it a few months, we absolutely love it and have already recommended it to other friends.

Actually DRIES dishes

When we were looking for a new dishwasher one of my criteria was that it actually DRIES the dishes. I did my research on Consumer Reports with that in mind, and the reviews there for drying and reliability are what led me to this model. The plastic cups and whatnot on the top rack actually get dry!
It does a really good job cleaning and I love the many options - power wash bottles, ultra dry, delayed start, etc. But there are a few things that keep me from giving it 5 stars. First is that items in the far corners of the upper rack don't get as clean as everything else. We get around this by just loading less soiled things in those corners. Second, its rack wheels are plastic and a little picky about positioning. The first week we had it one broke; not a big deal to get a replacement but still annoying. And third, it does take over four hours to run a full cycle if you choose the Ultra Dry option (which I do).
Overall, I'm very happy with our choice and would recommend it to others.

I love this dishwasher because it is beautiful but it’s not the quietest and it leaves a little residue on the silverware every single time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Remember, actual sound levels can be a little different once installed in the home. You might find the appliance quieter or louder than the decibel rating suggests. The loudness of a dishwasher depends on the installation location, the cabinetry where it is located, the flooring, the countertop above it, and even whether the dishwasher is full of dishes or partially empty.
As for the residue that you're seeing, when a dishwasher isn't washing well, it can leave food particles, detergent residue or a white film on the dishes and glasses. Slow noisy dishwasher

There is no choice for a quick rinse or express cleaning. The machine is noisy and sometimes emits a high pitched whiney noise. The results of the washing are good. The size is large. The wash times with drying are minimum 2 1/2 hours and longer if you want more dry time. I would not buy this dishwasher again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Clean Style and Quiet

The full stainless steel basin is nice. The lack of a small items, slide-out upper tray is a bit of a let down. The unit is quiet and has a classy look. I am hopeful that we have better luck with GE compared to other higher end brands we have had over the years.
