Great Features

I love this dishwasher! It dose everything it said it could do, everything comes out so clean and dry! I love the sanitation feature, especially now when getting things clean and killing all the germs and bacteria is so important! Even my pots and pans turn out so clean and sparkly!

Looks good but not very happy.

The express setting takes too long to wash. Only 4 mins quicker than the normal wash. Sometimes it doesn’t dry as expected or even wash as expected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Mihir-We are very sorry to hear that you aren't happy. We understand it can be frustrating when an appliance doesn't meet your expectations. The U.S. Department of Energy, the EPA Energy Star program, and consumer demand has driven dishwasher manufacturer’s to make dishwashers much more energy and water efficient over the last several years. But there are always tradeoffs to using less energy and water. Longer wash cycles will actually lower the energy consumption. It’s a little counter-intuitive, most people experiencing a long cycle will imagine the power meter spinning out of control. But the truth is that it’s much more efficient to take less water from the water heater and run the dishwasher longer. The bottom line is that the price of high efficiency is longer wash cycles. ~In order for the dishwasher to dry the dishes, we recommend turning your hot water on first and be sure that you use a rinse agent along with pressing your heated dry button. Note: Any deep wells in the bottom of glasses, won’t dry. Bottle jets are a must have in my house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE Cafe dishwasher makes your kitchen look high end with it’s sleek elegant design. The dishwasher is beautiful inside and out. The inside is stainless steel. The outside is also stainless steel that has a handle that you can actually order a customized to match the rest of your kitchen.
The control panel is built into the top of the dishwasher. It is touchpad. There is also I timer that lets you know how long each cycle is and lets you know how much time is left.
There are 5 cycles. From the longest cycle which is the pre soak and sanitize to express. On the control panel you can also choose to use one upper, lower or both. There is a delay button that you can delay the wash up to 12 hours.
There are two racks. The bottom has fold down tines which is great when you have larger pots and bowls. The cutlery basket has holes for each individual silverware in the middle. Each end of the basket you can place bigger items such as spatulas and ladles. The basket is removable. The upper rack is adjustable and can be lowered a few inches. It has 2 rows of tines that can be folded down. It also has fold down stemware holders. Saving the best feature for last is the bottle jets. This is great for our family. My husband and son mountain bike and have weird shaped water bottles which are hard to clean. The bottle jets are perfect for these bottles. The jets have clips that keep the bottles in place and the water is shot right into the bottle for a more superior clean.
This dishwater does a superb job of washing dishes and cups. You don’t even have to rinse. For the drying cycle you can turn it off use normal day or ultra dry for hard to dry plastic ware. The shocker for me was my tea cup. My cup that I have used for tea everyday was so stained. I would scrub it and the stains wouldn’t come off. One wash with this dishwasher and my cup looks brand new inside.

Beautiful but loud

Bought this for our kitchen remodel and it’s loud while washing. It matches our duel-fuel range and thought we should buy, but for the price, I’m disappointed.
