Too Soon To Tell

Our dishwasher was just delivered two weeks ago so it's too soon to tell how we specifically feel about it. Because of the crazy times we're living in now this dishwasher was not our first (or second) choice due to so many models not being available because of the pandemic. Our choices were also very limited because the majority of the dishwasher manufacturers are making them taller to accommodate 3 racks rather than the 2 they've had from the beginning of time. Because of this height difference, we had to settle for this one because it was the only one available that would fit into the cabinet space for our dishwasher. I'm sure there are thousands of homeowners that have dealt with this same problem when purchasing a new dishwasher recently. Kudos to GE for having enough sense and connection with their customer to continue making a dishwasher that will fit into the thousands of homes that still have that smaller opening in their kitchen cabinets and don't want to remodel the whole room to accommodate the taller ones.
Having said that, I believe this GE is going to work out okay. The racks don't hold as much as our previous dishwasher so that's very disappointing. They also don't seem to be as sturdy as the previous ones. It seems to wash the dishes well which is its only purpose - to wash the dishes. We always rinse all of the food off of the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher so it doesn't really have to work that hard to clean and sanitize them. As upset as I was about not really having a choice at the time of purchase and for it to be my third choice by default, it seems to be a good dishwasher - time will tell. I was not able to get another black dishwasher that would match my other appliances but this stainless one compliments the black ones..
Basically, I just need a dishwasher that will clean and sanitize my dishes and is made to last a long time. Hopefully this one will fill the bill. Thanks again GE for knowing your customer's needs and providing a choice for them despite the current trends in appliances.

Not thrilled. Racks are flimsy and so is door. Have had this for a few weeks and bought it aight unseen on recommendation from appliance rep. I wanted a Bosch. So far the only thing I like is it says “clean” when washing is finished. Normal wash takes hours.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had it about a month. It is pretty quiet and cleans very well, there is a lot of room for all the dishes, it may be just a little bigger than my old Kenmore elite.

Dishes come out dry!!

I've never had a dishwasher where the dishes are actually totally dry at the end of a cycle so, this feature is super-exciting!
