This electric range came with our home when we purchased it. I really wasn't sure what to expect, since it had been used for over three years by the previous family. I am very pleased to say that this range/oven has been great for the three years that we have been living here. I have not had any problems from it baking unevenly or not heating, etc. I love the sleek design and how easy it is to keep the glass top clean. I have not used the self clean feature yet, but I am glad that it is there for when I do choose to use it. The dual burner is very nice to have, especially when you need to utilize the entire cook top efficiently. The only complaint I have with this model is that I don't like the blue clock face, but that is becoming the norm on most kitchen appliances. I would recommend this model to anyone that is looking for something durable and of good quality.

Average oven in today's market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this one to replace our 15 year old Frigidaire Classic Series range. Times have changed and everything is made with lighter materials and lots of plastics. We have to accept that these days. This range fits right in with today's standards. We were astounded at the difference in weight of the door, of the bottom drawer, etc.The gasket material, formerly was a good heavy... I want to say fire-house type material. The gasket in this new stove is a flimsy plastic type (though I know it has to be heat resistant, it could easily be bumped off so we do not expect it to wear long)
The top of the stove has 5 elements. They are nice, but could have been placed better. They have the 2-size element in the front on the left. That is a popular spot for cooks to use their smaller pots. To use this element, you have to turn the knob to the left to use the larger size, or turn to the right to use the smaller size. Straight up and down is HI so you have to keep that in mind because the way the other knobs work, you turn them almost 340 degrees to do Hi. I would have liked this 2 sized element to be placed in the back and the back small element placed in the front.
The oven is a little larger than our old one. It does NOT have a shelf grid over the bottom heating element. So if you use the oven to store your pots and pans, you only have 2 shelves to do that with. The older stoves had that third shelf over the heating element that you could use. One of the appealing features of this stove is the steam clean function. That is what sold me.
The bottom drawer is so flimsy, it twists when you pull it out. That is the way stoves are now, so again.. it is average and in line with the rest of them today.
I got the black one, looks very nice. Be prepared to really polish the top to keep fingerprints off of it to look good.
I don't hate the stove, but I don't love the stove. It works fine, but that is it. I didn't have opportunity to look it over in person. The store did not stock stoves. You choose from their website, order it, and once it is delivered you get to finally see it. I don't know that I would have bought this one, had I been able to physically open the door, etc. But this is what I hear from other people about all of the newer stoves in a family's price range. So for the price, I would recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stove works well...heats quickly and has the small burner within the large burner which is nice.....but, I really don't like the glass top. Every little spot stays on the surface & is difficult to remove with just a sponge...I have to get a special cleaner to use...which is necessary after every use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive never purchased a large appliance before. Its my first. I purchased a stainless steel stove and a matching refrigerator. I even purchased a matching range hood. But im not thrilled with the stove. Ive only cooked on the glass top 3 times and its marked with little bubble like circles. Ive used the oven more than that and theres a weird squeaking noise that happens throughout the cooking process. The prebake from frozen isnt helpful. I stick stuff in the oven from frozen anyhow, always have. It doesnt do anything different if you push that button. Slightly dissapointed. Trying to figure out controls for oven was lovely also. I ended up accidently setting a timer that shut off the oven before my food was cooked.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My glass top started to bubble underneath after the first time used. We got ahold of whirlpool warranty people and it is being replaced today. Repairman said it was a manufacturer defect. Hope the new one is good.
