Love the glass top cooking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my range a month ago and have enjoyed the glass top cooking. It has a nice even heat and I love the duel burner feature on the front left side. At first I had some trouble keeping a crust from forming in the burners themselves but after purchasing some glass top stove cleaner it is no longer a problem. After giving up a 35 year old range I am enjoying the even heat of the oven and the digital controls. The digital controls are easy to use and the temperature indicator is a nice touch. A good addition to our kitchen. Our next replacement is our 35 year old refrigerator, I will definitely be looking at a Whirlpool.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't Buy!!!!

If I preheated this oven for tomorrow it might possibly reach the desired temperature, but I'm not counting on it. Same goes for the top heating elements. Takes forever to boil or cook anything and cleaning it is a nightmare. I miss my coil electric oven and wish I had never purchased this new oven. Other then looking good it wasn't worth the money I spent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Defective Oven!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stovetop works great, but the oven is defective. When I used the oven the first time I noticed that the gasket had not been installed properly. Upon closer inspection I noted that two of the oven’s predrilled stamped metal sheets did not meet correctly, leaving only a small sliver of an opening at several points that were supposed to be round holes for the oven gasket’s clips. There is also a screw in the same area that was put in crooked, and was obviously removed and reinstalled several times, in a futile attempt to correct a problem. It is obvious that someone tinkered with the screw several times, because the finish is missing around it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Looking, temp sensitive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were super happy when we bought our new Whirlpool range, the appearance of the appliances is top notch and the stove top works to perfection. The stove part of the range has a few characteristics that are less than desirable. When we first received our range, we were cooking Christmas cookies and they didn't come out right because the stove was not holding temp. Also when you turn on the stove, it makes a squeaking noise that is quite annoying. We had a tech come out and he said that the stove is holding temp but can fluctuate any where from 20 degrees up to 30 degrees down which made me scratch my head. He also said that the squeaking was because it was a new unit. I have been cooking in restaurants and at home for many years and have never heard either excuse before!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range on the recommendation of a contracter to replace a Frigidaire that died. It has gotten a workout since its arrival a month ago. My favorite feature is how well-insulated it is- it heats my little kitchen much less than the old one! Just put in the matching microwave. I am sure this range will serve me well!

Very nice cooking top!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for two months now. Had to buy new pans for the stovetop because my old ones were warped and wouldn't heat up properly. With the new flat pans, the pans heat up and cook quickly. Very nice. I'm still getting used to the oven. The key is to turn on the light to look in the window. If you open the door to look at the food, the oven looses too much heat and cooking takes much longer. Still getting used to programming it. Just so much different than my old Whirlpool!! But I'll get used to it. Pull out drawer on the bottom does not hold much -- the sides are not very high. Overall, a very nice stove to work with though.

Good replacement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a Whirlpool Gold range for ten years. The main board went bad, so we replaced it with this model. It pre heats quickly, and seems like a good value. I wish it had the same cleaning system as the old one, but that’s a minor detail.
