Like the over steam clean feature, no chemicals!

Timer has a safety design issue.

We bought this oven 10 months ago. The elements all seem to work fine but I have a major complaint about the design of the TIMER. Timers are designed to be manually turned off for a reason. This timer DOES continue to ding until manually turned off UNLESS the OVEN is ON. When the oven is ON the timer rings (3 dings) only ONCE and then no more at all (shuts itself off). Thus if I'm not nearby to hear it or am distracted with other preparations, the food in my oven continues to cook. I have overcooked food many times now. Besides being aggravating, this is a SAFETY issue in my opinion. The part has been replaced in an effort to determine if it was faulty but the new part gave the same result. The "cook time" timer, separate from the regular timer, works by shutting off the oven while the timer continues to ding. If I merely want to check food for doneness when the timer goes off I then have to reprogram the cook timer to continue. If the regular timer worked as it should I could simply use it to check for doneness which is how my previous stoves have worked.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
