Two problems in less than a year and a half!

We bought this a year and a half ago. We had a problem within the first year (not heating up to temp); it was taken care of since it was within 1 yr warranty period. Now just 7 months later, an error code is popping up/oven not working, and we are going to have to pay for a new control board. We reached out to see if Whirlpool would do anything to help, and they "humbly declined my request for part assistance." I understand it's outside of the one year warranty, but having two issues within such a short time of purchasing it is uncalled for. Regretting our decision to buy a Whirlpool.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good/Basic Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good basic oven. I did not want anything fancy or highly technical. My two complaints so far are: 1. The inner oven light does not automatically turn on when the oven door opens. I have to manually turn on the oven light each time if I want to illuminate the oven cavity. It is annoying but not a deal breaker. 2. The glass top is nice except for some scratches that happened from something minor. There was a wet spot I went to wipe with a microfiber cloth while the burner was still hot and unfortunately the microfiber threads were seared onto the glass. We are going to buy the recommended cleaner/scraper to try and clean the fibers off. Overall, a good oven so far. We've only had it for two months. So far so good. The frozen bake technology is fun to try. It seems to be working alright.

Aesthetically Pleasing

Almost The Perfect Range for Us

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the range with one exception. The drawer unde the oven is lined with extremely sharp metal edges, including the handle, which cuts deep. I had to put a padded tape along the entire top of the drawer. This is an extremely dangerous part of the range.

Where's the User's Guide

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't rate this range higher than average at this time as we are still learning to use it. It absolutely has the sorriest excuse for a User;s Guide that I have ever encountered. The quick start guide points you to the Whirlpool website to find a User's Guide but no such guide is available. The guide available is the same guide that comes with the range and it primarily covers installation. There is a small portion on steam cleaning and maintenance but nothing on basic operation. The quick start guide is inadequate so we are left to figure it out for ourselves. Come on Whirlpool, get your act together.
