fast heating cooktop, uneven oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been pleased with the cooktop -- it's easy to use, clearly marked when the burners are on, and has a nice range of temperature settings. The oven seems to be somewhat uneven: a batch of cornbread were done on one side but not the other, but it seems to have improved somewhat, as a batch of cookies came out more evenly. the other problem with the oven is that too much heat escapes at the top, so that the front metal panel of the stove becomes extremely hot when the oven is used, and a bit dangerous to touch. Wish I had purchased a better insulated model!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
