Misleading advertisement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because my other range quit. And I found this one because it looked decent and priced affordably. And one of the important reasons was it said SELF-CLEANING. This range does not have self cleaning. It has steam cleaning but not self cleaning. Very disappointed. Other than that the range works very good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Whirlpool Appliances! I've owned others & seem to have the most success with this brand. The builder put this Range in my new townhouse & I was worried at first. It bakes evenly & I appreciate that since I don't love to bake. I've also recently made a Lasagna & was extremely impressed that I could follow the directions & timing & it was perfect. The only thing is that the Oven makes a strange noise that I can't figure out why or where it's coming from.

Very Nice Electric Stainless Steel Oven

This 5.3 CU. FT. ELECTRIC RANGE with Self-Cleaning Oven In Stainless Steel by Whirlpool replaced a 14 year old white model which had a bad LCD display. This new model is the first step in upgrading the rest of the appliances to stainless steel. It did not come with a power cord or protective cord gland which was disappointing (perhaps due to me electing to connect myself rather than the delivery company) but fortunately I was able to transfer these with some moderate effort from the old unit. This oven performs fantastically - the stove top burners and oven heating elements heat up very fast and very visibly so. The large dual-purpose burner is a welcome option. The "keep warm" burner in the rear center is a nice plus. Overall, it contains the heat better (as advertised) keeping the kitchen cooler than the old unit. It looks "commercial" and cooks food more consistently and evenly with the temperature sensing feature inside. Energy efficiency is yet to be assessed until the next electric bill but I wouldn't be surprised if it's less!
