Great Product !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this range to replace an older electric with the spiral type burners. This one is a major step up: stove top- burners heat up quickly, maintain the level they are set on. Digital display indicates when a burner is on, and if the stovetop is hot; oven- heats up quickly, digital display shows the temperature as it is heating up; doesn't seem to have to cycle the heat much to maintain temperature. Far less cost than the induction stovetop models, not clear that they are at all better than this type. Very pleased.

We brought this oven as part of a complete themed remodeling project for our kitchen, which consisted of a refrigerator, oven, microwave and dishwasher all new appliances from Whirlpool which we were satisfied users. We replaced our problem-free Whirlpool Gold glass top oven of 10 years with this one. After using it for about a month, we noticed that the paint had started to bubble and separate from the Dual Element glass burner. We are experienced in maintaining glass top ovens and other appliances, but this problem must be caused by poor design or craftsmanship. It is a constant eyesore and a source of embarrassment. This should not be the case given the Whirlpool brand name. Seriously dissatisfied with this product.

Won't stay on.

I loved until it started shutting off while using it. Keeps clicking off and on. When it comes back on the clock won't set no matter how many times I try. Sometimes it just clicks off and on consistently for a few minutes. Something is wrong with it.

Nice stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the feature of a burner within a burner to allow for different size of pans used. Also like the keep warm burner.
Very disappointed with the owners manual. It does not offer thorough instruction on how to use the oven, timer or other functions. There are “zero” instruction on how to activate the timer. Also, the timer signal is so faint you can hardly hear it. I have not tried the steam clean function yet. I hope the oven is easy to clean like the older self cleaning oven.

Troubleshooting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The steam clean feature didn’t clean as expected, so I tried to use it again and it wouldn’t turn on. I called whirlpool and was told to try ‘troubleshooting’ (unable to find any troubleshooting guide for this problem). Whirlpool rep said to turn off breaker and back on to reset computer. I did that and it worked, he also told me that if I had a repairman come to check it out I would be charged a service call because the ‘ troubleshooting’ step would correct the situation. I have tried the steam clean feature several times since then and found that it will reset itself overnight, but will not allow use of the feature even after completely cooling, unless I wait overnight. I would like to have it fixed, but I don’t know how to get it fixed without having to pay a service charge. The product seems to be okay, but the warranty is suspect.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Scratch Top Surface

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the stove for 2-3 weeks and have used it a dozen times. After 5-6 uses I noticed the top was scratched. A friend warned me about this the day it was delivered so I was very careful not to move pans around on the surface of the stove. Not careful enough I guess. Very disappointed.
