Showing faulty storage info

Even though it's only half occupied, it shows full and not capable of writing more data. Extremely frustrating and created a lot of problem with formatting and moving data which is not what I expect from buying an expensive piece of hardware.

All is good, except ....

Just purchased the 2TB Extreme Pro Portable SSD and was happy with the ease of plug and play on my computer with Windows 11. After 1 day of use copying, deleting, reading & writing to and from the drive - with no problems - I attempted - unsuccessfully - to perform an optimize using the MS Windows utility. The utility has worked fine for years on various other WD external storage devices. I was unable to find any comments or suggestions relating to this problem on the Sandisk.com/support site. Still researching. Hope to find an explanation and solution.
