Love the connectivity this brings to my other Garmin products and awareness it adds to my training. Only con of this watch is that I'm a bit nervous to take it into water/on the beach. Cost is high (worth it) but don't want to break it.

It took years and a lot of research to finally choose a watch. Brand, size, function, price; all huge factors for choice of your watch. I didn't want to break the bank, but I wanted something that was going to do it all... Or most of it at least, you still do the hard work. The reason I went with this watch specifically was size, and functions. It was everything I needed to purchase in one tiny case. I needed gps (this watch is amazing), the ability to track my heart rate and O2 sat, and keep record of water intake, calories, and sleep is awesome for training. The training function is so helpful as well. It was really difficult to get the phone notifications off it at first, and I had to uninstall the music apps a few times, but that's my only complaint. I didn't want a watch that would track me out in the mountains also interupting the adventure. The data collection of your performance is key choice for the Fenix 6s, I opted out for the S as a safeguard against cracking the face climbing etc. The resort maps for winter riding will be amazing, as well as the backcountry touring option for descent. Finally... The battery life was another major factor in summing up reasons for purchasing this watch. The battery saver mode is mega if you're using it very specifically, and expidition mode alongside downloadable maps for different areas around the world is priceless. The spare strap is SO SOFT! I was expecting it to be a little more uncomfortable but I almost prefer it to the nylon, it looks amazing with everything, the rose gold breaks up the black body beautifully, and I get away with wearing it on the trail, and to work. I'd probably even wear it out to a nice restaurant. The quick clips I'm still weary of, it's an expensive piece of equipment to loose, something about difficulty putting the strap on and securing it with tools gives me false confidence. I'll eventually trust the quick clips. Anyway it was such a long road to justify buying this watch, but after all the deliberation I'd say if you're going to use all the features go for it. 100% you won't be disappointed.

The 6s Pro the best garmin I have had to date. I was worried the weight would bother me. However after a day of wearing I barely notice it. The functionalities are easy to use.

I've had the Garmin 735XT which is great for multi-sport. Wanted the Fenix 6S for the more advanced off-trail mapping features and elevation tracking for ultramarathons. Also, battery life is excellent!

I got this mostly for the full Topo maps pre loaded to the watch, the ability to make routes (with no internet/cell even) on my phone, sync to my watch and stay on track during back country adventures is.... I can't say how incredible. Great battery life, no annoying touch screens make it actually useful in the cold and wet conditions and the "S" for smaller has no trade offs from the normal size. I'm 60ft tall, male and I just don't like huge watches, so this is perfect for me. There's other things I've found super useful and easy to use, bike navigation directions in the city, yoga, surf tracking, HR monitor, stress indicator. It's great. This watch is capable, enjoyable to use. Love it.
