Worth every penny. I waited quite awhile before upgrading from my 735xt. If you are a numbers nerd, this watch offers more data than you know what to do with. It helps with recovery and workload balancing. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

This is my first Garmin watch & it has exceeded all of my expectations. As a long distance runner, having access to multiple data variables, music storage, and safety futures is huge! 100% recommend

Update: After a week or so of use, I'm very happy that I made this purchase. It is quire a bit of a learning curve cause there's so many features. I did subscribe to a third party app to better track other activities. I don't like to use the music feature as it drains the battery but it seems like it's good for a day's worth of activities. For an hour activity or so the battery estimation is pretty accurate and I didn't have to charge it for a week or so. I love that you can download courses onto your watch and create a pace strategy. There's still much to explore on this watch but I highly recommend it so far :)

I've started running a lot and my Apple Watch was not cutting. I wanted to see my heart rate, pace, etc with ease. After much search, I stumbled upon this. Not only does it look nice but its very practical. Some activities may require a third party app on Garmin for a small price. I wish it was touchscreen but you get use to the buttons after awhile. It is a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to use all of the functions. So far after a day of use, I am pleased. My wrist is 16cm and I was scared that it may be too big but it was perfect for me. The band is very soft and comfortable. I did buy a screen protector online in case I scratch it. If you're adventurous like me then this is the watch for you. Out of the box it is 8days of battery but you use a lot trying to set everything up. I'll update my review after longer use.

Great for training metrics but only with a HR chest strap

Bought this as an upgrade to my Apple Watch when it wasn't cutting it on running metrics like I needed it to. Overall its fabulous, but the wrist heart rate is never accurate on its own (whereas my Apple Watch wrist heart rate was typically accurate), so its a MUST to wear a chest strap HR monitor with this watch. Otherwise, its awesome!

Can pick and choose features you want from an almost unlimited selection. Very lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Only downside is the strap selection is limited for this size of watch

Power piece of gear in your backcountry toolkit!

I transitioned to this watch after being a Suunto owner since the early 2000's. Glad I made the switch. The watch has a vast array of features you can delve into, or keep is short and sweet. Moving maps from Connect.Garmin.com is easy to do and the feedback you get over time on your performance, training load and suggested rest, is invaluable!
