Worth the Wait!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Husband surprised me with an early Christmas present. I've been waiting for years to cook on a gas stovetop again. I'm amazed in the difference of cooking with gas over electric is. And the design makes it easy to clean everything on this stovetop!! Thank you, Bosch!

My First Bosch Cooktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have experience with the cooktop for a few weeks now. It is an appliance that we utilize every day. I have to say that having never used a glass-top stove; I have a learning curve as to how to clean it and keep it clean. The gas cooktop is a thing of beauty and a prized piece of cookware in my kitchen. I have great expectations given that is a Bosch and hope that it will live up to the name.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great the cleaning of the glassntop is great. I love everything. I just don't understand the simmering on the big burner in the middle. I feel like the middle is for a big pan but the simmer doesn't support the big pan?

Pretty and practical

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The glass surface gives what is usually a utilitarian appliance a very classy look. The silvery-gray color coordinates well with my other Bosch appliances which are black stainless steel. The glass cooktop surface is much easier to keep clean than other finishes. I like the 9 discrete settings on the burner knobs. I would have liked a bit higher btu rating on some of the burners.

Good but not as good as the Thermador

We replaced our Stainless Thermador with this glass top unit due to the stainless being so hard to clean. It works well and is way easier to clean but I seriously miss the auto ignition of the Thermador. You have to hold down the knob (for what seems forever) to get it to light and stay lit (it lights right away but if you release the knob it goes right out).
Other than that, its been a great stove. Installation was easy and so far zero issues.

Good but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cooktop has beautiful aesthetic design but a few industrial design flaws detract. All of the knobs have to be pressed for several seconds or the burner flame goes out; if the knob is released too quickly then the lighting process must be repeated for the flame to stay on. The large central burner has two concentric fire rings which is perfect for large pans. However, when this center burner is set on a low heat levels, only the small center flame stays on and the large perimers flames go off. This prevents evenly cooking when using a large pan on a low simmer level. The knobs themselves are made from "cheap" plastic type material and have only a very thin line imprinted to indicate how far the knob rotated. It is therefore not easy to see if the burner is even on from the position of the knob, an especially serious flaw when a burner is on a very low level and the flame is not obvious.
I would recommend this to a friend!
