At first I didn't like it

At first glance out of the box, I didn't think I liked it. It felt small and more fragile compared to the Gear S3. However, I've worn it for the past week and really like it now. It's lighter and more comfortable with a nice watchband attached. The software seems to work well so far and it does everything that I want it to.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Upgraded from a smart band to this active 2. Bought on sale and I have been falling in love with it. Although too many plugins to install but once installed and set up, watch good to go. With the news of active 3 OS coming for active 2. I just can't wait.

Back plate came off and not covered by warranty

The back plate that covers the heart rate sensors came off (a common problem with this issue it seems) after 10 months, and that problem was not covered their warranty even though it was within the 12 month warranty period. They really should use better adhesive.
Until that point, it worked fairly well, and it has lot's of features. It does seem to crash sometimes, but a reboot fixes that. Also, if you are working out vigourously, sweating, the heart rate sensor does not work well, which is a problem as it's a sports watch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Missing key functions

Nice watch but the VO2 and ECG functions are not approved for use in Canada and there is no clear date on when or if these capabilities which have been activated in S.Korea and the US will make it to Canada. Also I find the UI to be counter intuitive compared to the Apple Watch. Spotify and Strava work well, so running with Samsung earbuds is a plus.

I'm falling in love with this watch. I stopped wearing watches after my first cell phone you kmow back when pagers still were a thing... so I missed it. I feel like I did. When I just got my first watch. This is working perfectly with my phone. Buds. Everything.

Amazing smart watch!

While the durability is to be determined (no bezel protecting the face), the Active2 has provided me exactly what I needed out of a smart watch. I believe mine came with a slight scratch out of the box, it hasn't buckled under everyday use since unboxing. I still don't know if it was packaged like this or it happened in my first 24 hours of wearing it.
