[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Speaker is perfect for a bbq outside- and because of the bluetooth capabilities I don't have to rely on my wifi. The bluetooth switch is actually my favorite part because now I can bring the speaker anywhere- I love Sonos and having that new option has been lovely.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Superior Sound, Wireless

The Move sure can travel!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost, I have Sonos gear all over the place in our house. I wasn't really thinking I would need another speaker until I got this. I have started to build a system for our house in Europe and didn't even start to think that a vacation place could have a Sonos I could rally use outside. For those of you wondering whether you can travel with the Move? The answer is a resounding yes! It has a lithium battery so like all devices like this, you need to take it as carry-on. This turned out to be a breeze. I took my speaker in a normal backpack along with my work computer and a large iPad Pro. My backpack was certainly heavy due to ALL this gear but not a big deal really. I could easily lift it to the overhead bin or put it under my seat. I put the charging base in my checked luggage but I have already decided to get a USB-C charger for travel now that I have so many USB-C enabled devices. The sound on the Move is really fantastic. It reminds me of the Play3 or Play5. It didn't take too long to figure out how to set it to Bluetooth. The cool thing is that the light changes to Blue (of course!) So I spent the summer in Croatia with my Move. It made the trip over and back. It provided tunes during our evening on our balcony. Since I was asked to keep in out of public eye, I didn't bring it to the beach... but since I already tested the Bluetooth on it, I have zero concerns about that working. I brought it back to the US at the end of the summer. I plan on bringing it and leaving it at our vacation place on my next trip. My only gripe is that I only have one of them! Once our house is done, I may have to invest in a sibling for this Move. Bottom line, you could buy this as your first serious Sonos speaker, keep it in one spot in your house just like any other Sonos (the charging base blends nicely) then pick it up and go to your friends house or even take it with you half-way around the world.

Durability, portability, and that great Sonos sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Move is a stellar addition to the Sonos lineup. I see it as a great entry point into the ecosystem as well as a solid enhancement to any existing system. The design is clean and functional and the speaker is heavier than you expect when you first hold it, which to me is a good sign. The IP56 rating is really impressive, and overall the durability is top notch. Setup, as always, is a breeze. Switching between Bluetooth and Wifi is simple and works well, and battery life is great for the amount of power and loudness this speaker produces. Of course it really comes down to the sound and the Move does not disappoint. It sounds better than a One but not as nice as a Play5. Auto-trueplay is a smart addition to the speaker's feature set. Standby mode really does a nice job of preserving battery life if you leave it off the charger. Sonos was very thoughtful with this product and I think you certainly get what you pay for with the Move.

Finally a Bluetooth and Portable speaker .... and its GREAT!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really glad to see that Sonos have made a bluetooth speaker that matches their great sound and fits in with their ecosystem. Other manufacturers seem to have Bluetooth portable speakers OR Streaming speakers, but with Sonos Move we get both, so we can use it with our other Sonos speakers and then use it with bluetooth if away from the sonos network in the home. Sound quality is great as you would expect, it is louder than a Sonos one and really nice to hear that the sound is less directional than a Sonos One, which is great for BBQ and get together on the patio. Build quality is solid, as always .... it is not really a speaker you would throw in a suitcase and take on holiday, I mean you could... but it is a little big / heavy. Personally I prefer the size and weight as it means it is a more serious speaker than a toy gimmick and much more useful than the occasional listening of most bluetooth speakers. I was doing some DIY in the garden and managed all day listening to internet radio, I go get wifi coverage in the garden and to be able to use Alexa to control my music without having to get out my phone was fantastic as I had gloves on and was covered in mud.

The best invention since SONOS ONE

Pros: Easy to Set Up, Good speaker for take with you outside, Portable., Streams All My Music, and More, Wireless
Cons: Little to high price ( for customers ), Not possible to use them for home theater.

Love the Move - perfect for backyard tunes

Augment the documentation so it is clear that Move cannot join the Sonos mesh network and must be connected directly to the wireless network. Knowing this would have made installation a snap. Instead I explored a dead end trying to join a Boost network.
Pros: Expandable, Free Control Options, Streams All My Music, and More, Wireless
Cons: Documentation was incomplete
