Good Sound, Bad Wireless Performance

Portability, sound quality, and bluetooth option are what led me to buy it. It meets those criteria with flying colors. That said, as others have noted its wireless performance is terrible. It keeps dropping my network connection, even when mere feet away from my router--at least that's what the Sonos app tells me. Whether it's the Move or the app that's losing connection I don't know exactly, but in any case this problem is unacceptable in a wireless speaker at this price. I mostly end up using bluetooth and streaming from my phone, which defeats the main reason for buying a wireless speaker. My rating splits the difference, and I'll keep the Move for its use apart from my network, but I certainly won't buy another one.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound
Cons: Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The rest of my sonos speakers hate the sonos Move

I had 8 sonos speakers throughout the house, and life was good! Then, 2 years later, I introduced this sonos Move to the family of my existing speakers, and total disaster. It's like an adopted child that none of the other children want to play nicely with. I have daily issues with speakers turning on and off, or just not playing music at all. I have had to reset the system every 7 - 10 days because three or four of the speakers will refuse to play music. Before adding this sonos Move to the group, I would have issues with the overall system about once a month. Usually it just required a simple unplug, or a wifi reset. But since adding the Move, its been a total rebellion by the other speakers. They do not like the new addition, and refuse to play nicely together.
Pros: Wireless
Cons: Constant conflicts with the other speakers, New problems throughout system
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm indifferent

I just find it frustrating that there is no place to plug in a cord to direct-wire the speaker into the wifi (when the speaker kept disappearing from the app and the app was not able to locate the speaker to set it up - again - the app directed me to plug the Sonos Move into the wifi, which isn't possible. I was also frustrated that no where on the Sonos website was I able to find (to be fair, I could have missed it) a statement regarding the fact that the Sonos Move cannot connect to a TV, rather, it MUST go through a Beam, or the other usuals. I wish Sonos would clearly state - REQUIRES Beam or ... in order to connect to TV.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use, Unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Questionable

Been a long time Sonos user and have multiple Sonos speakers. I love all of them and wasn't sure about this purchase. It came in a nicely packaged box and good packing. Opened it up, set it up and let it charge. The following day I removed from charging ring and started playing WiFi music. Sounds great but the charge didn't last near as long as advertised. I got about 8 hours of playback without any issues and medium volume. It has continued to play less than 8 hours before running out of battery. Since I was still within my 45 days of returns I submitted a request to exchange for another unit. What a joke. The response I got was a tech wanting to troubleshoot the issue and even made the comment that it might be my outlet. Seriously Sonos? I'm still wanting an exchange but have gotten nowhere with them. I can understand wanting to help a customer but ignoring a customers request is sub par. Excellent products but this battery greatly disappoints.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Battery playback
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The product is great.. the sounds are unbeatable but the app you need to use is terrible. The features are mostly supported when in wifi but when it's Bluetooth it's not available and it doesn't operate the same
Pros: Superior Sound

Love the sound, wish it was portable between networks

I love the way the Move sounds, the charging station, its portability and durability. It's easy to bring music to the deck or to one of the few rooms that I already do not have a Sonos speaker. I have Sonos at both my my primary residence and my vacation home. I was hoping that I could easily use the Move between the two houses but it is not. I need to reset it and add it to the other system every time we move between houses. It such a pain that I find I let it sit for a few days before going through the process to make it work. It would be nice to see a portable speaker recognize at least a few different networks and not require the set up process every time.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use

I've always wanted a portable Sonos speaker to add to my Sonos collection. I was happy when the Move was announced. I purchased it during the whole covid lock down so I was not able to hear the device prior to purchasing. Unboxing and set up was a breeze. The sound quality is what I expected of Sonos. The sound deep, warm, smooth and crisp. Switching to Bluetooth was simple and the battery life was superb, although I haven't seen the 10 hour limit advertised. But it comes really close. My only problem is, it doesn't get quite loud for outdoor settings. I have tried recalibrating but that didn't help. All in all, it's still a great buy and a pleasure to use.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Free Control Options, Streams All My Music, and More, Wireless
Cons: Never really gets loud

Took less than 2 minutes to set up. This speaker has great sound deep base and it's pretty solid. I highly recommend this speaker or any Sonos speaker. My wife will be purchasing the Sonos home theater system for my Birthday in October. This speaker blows the competition away. I used to be a Bose guy, but not anymore. I also have a pair of Sonos ones in my living room.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Free Control Options, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
