Great sound. Inadvertently touch the wrong buttons it can become a bit of a mess. Returned the item. Bought a Play 5 and two Sono's 1 2nd generation. Much happpier.
Pros: Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Difficult to Use, Unreliable

Not great for portable use

The speaker sounds good but is terrible for anyone who just wants a portable speaker. It is a pain to get it setup so it can be used with bluetooth. I just want it to connect to my phone or tablet, not be forced to get an account just so I can listen to music on my device.
Cons: Difficult Setup

I've never in my life had such a difficult experience trying to connect any device. I'm an engineer of 30 plus years of experience and this is the worst ever. I'm returning it asap and don't recommend for anyone.

Great way to start or expand your Sonos system!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great speaker to start or expand your Sonos system. Solid, well built, great sound. The integrated handle lends itself to moving the speaker from place to place to bring music to multiple locations that might not warrant a dedicated speaker. The weatherability also make it a great solution for patio and outdoor use.

Nice sound in a portable format

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pick it up off the charge station and walk outside. Since this is a Beta Test unit, I was not able to take it away from the house as I would want to. Initially I had trouble connecting Bluetooth to another device. It now is very easy. At the price, it is not for everyone. The following question is 'would I recommend this to a friend'. There is no option for 'some friends, but not all'. I have friends that would love it and some that would never spend the money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sonos has made music a central part of my daily life. This unit allows the experience to follow me even when I'm not inside the house or at the office. It's AMAZING to be able to grab it and go outside, or even take it on the road. While there are other tools for portable listening, this one is just on another level.
