The Sonos move is pretty to look it. It has pretty good sound quality but the bass disappears after a certain sound limit (around 60%) so the sound isn't as great when you want it to be loud. I expected more of a punch with it being so heavy. the battery life is ok but I expected better for the price. Mine also has a small glitch where the sound is sometimes distorted during start up that I will get warranty service. MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS THE SONOS APP! For the Sonos system to be so technologically advanced, the Sonos App is not great at all! It constantly crashes, its confused easily and force closes and is not user friendly. I would also like to see some type of update that I don't have to use it ONLY on wifi. I can control everything else in my house remotely except Sonos. Thats pretty primitive.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Wireless
Cons: Low base level, Poor Sound Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first glance the speaker doesn't look like a regular product of Sonos. However the design is slick, flawless and feels solid (looks like it can take a hit). The installation is exactly what you may expect with Sonos, since it's remarkebly easy to set it up via WiFi. The Bluetooth option works also very well, which may be handy for a garden where you may not connect with your WiFi. The sound is relatively good for a mono speaker and it would definitely be nice to have a stereo pair option. If you need a good quality speaker with Sonos usability and which is easily portable, don't look any further.
Pros: Bleutooth option, Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Live trueplay, Streams All My Music, and More, Wireless

Disappointed That I Cannot Play my Music Library

The Move is adequate. What I am mostly extremely disappointed with is that Sonos has removed the ability to play my music library from my iPhone and iPad. When I upgraded the Sonos App for the Move, they forever removed this ability. I have 5 other Sonos components, but doubt that I will buy another because of this change.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Free Control Options, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Battery runs dead quickly if not docked

The Move has really great sound and the battery life is good. We frequently take this outside and enjoy for many hours of listening. Really a ton of sound in a small, portable package. However, setup is not intuitive and very picky. It took me hours to get this working on my network and I am an engineer that works with networks, workstations and scientific equipment! It was one lucky search that led me to an obscure setting on my specific router in order for the Move to connect. Setup, the app and the Alexa interface could use much improvement. I will likely buy again however I would not gift this as the setup can be frustrating.
Pros: Expandable, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use

Great sound but with major flaws to the battery

I purchased this speaker to take with me on vacations. The sound is great and it does not have any issues with connections. This is very frustrating to have this happen in the first week of a multi-month trip, leaving me to buy another speaker to use and then incur additional charges at the airport for luggage. The problem seems that once this speaker drains all the way down to 0%, there is no way to charge it up without the dock. Now, I know what you are going to say: "Not enough watts/amps on your cable/charger bro", "Faulty USB-C cable". But no, neither. I work from remote locations for months at a time and bring 3-100w USB-C cables with me as well as 2 - 100w and a 90w GaN power charger. I tried them all. None worked. I took the same cable that charged my 16' Macbook Pro and left it plugged in all night multiple times. This speaker just blinks red for a couple of seconds then stays solid red... then NOTHING. Upon returning home this time, I set the speaker on it's charging dock and a couple minutes later, it came back to life. I then verified that the most recent firmware is installed. After that, I unplug it from the dock and using the same USB-C cables and power brick as before, I see that it is charging fine in the app. It seems that this issue ONLY occurs if you let the battery drain down to 0%. I have 3 Sonos speakers, 3 Bose speakers (all portable), and 5 Apple Home Pods in total. It's a hard one because I really like the sound vs portability of this Sonos speaker but I can not recommend this brand at all as they are the only ones that have given me problems on multiple occasions.
Pros: Wireless
Cons: Unreliable

So..... I have been, or was, a Bose customer for 35 years. I recently replaced our entire Bose system that included the Lifestyle Soundtouch 535 series III, 3 Bose Soundtouch 20's, 1 Soundtouch 30 and one 10. We replaced it with 6 Sonos one's, 2 Sonos Five's, 1 Move, 2 Arc's and one Sub. Every aspect of the new Sonos system is substantially better than the Bose products that we had. First, the sound is MUCH better. The home theater is amazing, we are hearing sounds that we never heard before. We play music all day and the sound throughout the house is absolutely awesome! The App is excellent, much better than Bose Soundtouch and with a ton more features, like an alarm that we can set to wake the entire house. And technical support is a 10! The build quality is outstanding and the unboxing experience is pretty darn awesome. Setup is so simple. I never was able to set up any of the Bose Lifestyle systems, and I've had 5 over the years, without calling support. I also love the history of Sonos. Let me add, this portable speak is truly amazing!!!!!
Pros: Crazy Awesome Sound for a Portable Speaker, Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Excellent app, Expandable, Free Control Options, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: None

We use this speaker when we travel to take Alexa and our music with us every where. It's great for the patio too. The sound quality is almost on par with a Play 5. It's easy to connect wherever you go.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Expandable, Free Control Options, Portable, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
