The sound is great, but...

I have multiple Sonos speakers in many rooms of my house. I absolutely love the sound that comes out of the Move and its ability to play loudly outside. I also have a Roam and a couple of One SLs. Also love their sound. However, I have to reset some of them from time to time due to connectivity issues and them disappearing from my internet system. And switching between Blue Tooth and WiFi is not seamless with my Moves and Roam. In fact it is often very frustrating. I also hate the fact that I can't easily connect my Move speakers to a friends Sonos system without resetting mine all together. You would think you could have a temporary connectivity setting so that you didn't have to reset things all together. Also, if someone else is trying to connect to my speaker to play their music, it is very difficult to do. I often have to turn my phone completely off for this to happen. Connectivity is my biggest complaint with Sonos. These are expensive, high-quality speakers, so it would be nice to have them be a little more user friendly.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Difficult to Use

love it, but unreliable

i've been looking for a bluetooth speaker for a while now, and when i saw that sonos was making one, it was a no brainer for me because i have sonos throughout my home already. I love the benefit of being able to incorporate the move with my existing speakers over wifi, and the IDEA of being able to take it camping or to parties with bluetooth. however, while being the sole music provider for my god daughters 5th birthday, 1 hour into the party the move just cut off. i tried plugging it in with a USB-C plug, thinking the battery died, but the only thing it would do is blink an orange light. it did that well into the depths of night time. it wasnt until i got back home 2 days later that i was able to dock it and have it turn back on. TERRIBLE experience for me. if this doesnt work with bluetooth then why did i buy it? i will say it sounds AMAZING. i was overly pleased with it until this incident but am not ready to give up on it. i'm hoping maybe mine in particular was faulty and can get a replacement. outside of this instance i think it's a great idea and great sounding speaker.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Superior Sound
Cons: Unreliable

Finally...Good Idea, Sound Just So-So

Finally, Sonos produced a portable, BT speaker I had been waiting for...I thought. Unfortunately, for the price, the sound quality was just so-so. I thought it might be me, so I grabbed the Move by its convenient little handle and walked over to a neighbor's house who is also an audiophile and compared to some of his smaller, BT speakers. These were much smaller, MAJOR brand speakers and they sounded as good or better than the Move at 3/4 the price. Very disappointed and ultimately sent the Move back to Sonos and would not recommend.
Pros: Bluetooth Capable, Easy to Set Up, Portable, Wireless
Cons: Heavy, Larger Than Expected, Poor Sound Quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wish it would pair with Sub

Love the dock and ability to go from WiFi to Bluetooth easily, but really wish I could pair it with a Sub for a more complete soundstage in its most-used room. I get that this is meant to be portable, but easy enough to turn the Sub off/on in the app when I take the Moves to a different room or outside.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Superior Sound, Wireless
Cons: Won't pair with Sub

Really good, but

I dock this product in my living room as an optional add to the surround environment of 4 other SONOS devices. Its main purpose is to bring to the backyard for music and to bluetooth from another patio TV. The toggling from wireless to bluetooth is unreliable and constantly throws the Move offline. Further, it is not very loud in an outdoor patio environment. All of my SONOS products are incredibly loud with premium sound when working in harmony or indoors. This just falls short when it's on its own.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Wireless
Cons: Unreliable

Pros: I needed something to accompany my Sonos whole-house system when I'm outside or in the garage. This works perfectly for those requirements. Set up was very easy. Cons: It seems to turn on by itself when I'm not attending to it and its battery won't hold a charge for very long even when not in use.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Set Up, Portable, Wireless
Cons: Heavy Battery Drain When Not In Use

Repeats every song played through Spotify. Apparently this is a known problem for sometime. And the move is Heavy and bulky. Wish we never bought it. PS the tons of annoying emails from Sonos also is a drag.
Pros: Wireless
Cons: Heavy, Repeats every song played through Spotify., Unreliable

I listen in my home , garage, and barns. No matter where I am on my property it sounds great. It does not disappoint. Based on the great sound of the move, I purchased the arc and a gen 3 subwoofer. They also have great sound.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless
