Great idea....horrible build.

I am a huge Stranger things fan and when I got this I was super exited. The set contains dozens of clever nods and Easter eggs from the actual show. I really don't mind stickers in my Lego, especially when it's done this way. The problem however, comes when you have to assemble said masterpiece. The fact that the set shows the real world and the upside-down is really cool but for a Lego set it's a poor choice particularly when one side is supposed to just hang down from the other. During the process of attaching the trees to make the set do so, pieces were falling of everywhere left and right. The people who engineered the set choose to make the trees attach at four ball joints! This made me have to force the pieces together way more than I would have liked to, ultimately ending in the whole thing exploding. I couldn't even put it back together since it's practically impossible to find a sloped 1x1 in a pile of over two-thousand pieces. Some of the ideas behind this were golden however, in execution, it sucked.

The trees dont even piece together and the whole thing is a flimsy piece of crap

Most Disappointing Lego Set Ever

Purchased this set over two years ago, but just got around to building it. Have built over 50 sets during the past 9 years with almost no problems. Building this set was extremely frustrating. I experienced many of the problems discussed in the other negative reviews posted to this site. It took three rebuilds to get the roof right. The first two times I attempted to attach the tree legs (Step 314), parts of the "down" side collapsed. Finally got to Step 315 and the entire "down" side fell apart.
Wish I had read the reviews before ordering this set. Even the reviewers who provided positive reviews had some issues. I understand that the set is now sold out and will soon be retired. The sooner the better.
Please don't tell me to call customer support. I threw the set in the garbage. First time that has ever happened. Still a big fan of Lego, but I will be more careful when buying these "unique" sets.
Is it too much to ask for an account credit?

Do Not Purchase - Bad Design or Pieces

Resubmitting review because it didn't post. I think Lego sent out a few bad legos with this set or maybe some sets had poor quality. Been a fan for over 30 years and the legos in the set we purchased from local lego store do not stay connected and actually fall off each other. Poor quality legos. otherwise, cool set but if you touch it - it all falls apart.

Flimsy and breaks apart easily

I have tried to rebuild this lego set over 3 times after reading the reviews because it kept falling apart and double checked every step but it keeps falling apart this thing was poorly designed I don’t know what to do about it !?!?

The upside down set

I am beyond mad right now.... took me three days to finish this set and when it was finally time to put the two houses together with the trees everything fell apart.... what the heck I’m furious and I’m going to have to start all over. AMAZING SET!!!! SO GOOD!!!!!

worse build ever

This is the woese set I have ever purchased. The directions are wrong and show things that are not there. When you try to assemble the final step the junk falls to pieces. I wish I could get my money back. I have assembled over 300 sets and never came across directions that showed things wrong and such flimsy togetherness. Very disappointed.

bad set

this set is difficult to build and is so freaking delicate I built it all and when trying to connect the trees to the sides the bottom of the house just fell off onto the ground. Also the roof connects in a weird way and doesn't stick well. The structure system for the front porch is very weak and the pieces constantly break off
