By far my favorite LEGO set of all time. Was a fun build, and looks so great as a display piece. Such a great show deserves a great set and this one nailed it. Get this before it retires, you won't be disappointed.
PS: Dear LEGO, how about some more Stranger Things sets?!

Amazing Set!

I bought this as soon as it was available. Got it for my daughters 11th birthday, as she is almost a bigger fan of the series than I am. The build was easy, yet challenging and had a wonderful amount of detail and Easter eggs within (my daughter noticed that the lights on the wall in the upside down spelled LEGO!). Although this set isn't the cheapest, its definitely worth ever penny with the amount of bricks, the special pieces and colors used, the accuracy, play-ability and interesting building techniques. This will definitely make this a collectable and e great shoe piece for all of your Stranger Things friends!

Great Set, lots of fun.

Things I loved: All the details from the series in both homes. The car rolls great and is an awesome size. The Demogorgon, waffles and bear trap are great inclusions. The minifigures are probably the coolest I have in my collection. I also loved who elements within the house aid in the construction of the front-porch. The light-brick to flicker the alphabet = awesome.
Things to improve: Adjust the car for an easier time getting the minifigure in and out. For the money and potential to play with the set, making it more like 31079's camper, with a removable lid would be all the difference for the car.
The front-pillars for the homes' front porches can be a bit touchy on the initial build. Once assembled tightly they are OK.

Overall: Awesome to build, display and play with.

Awesome result, average experience.

The final result is a pretty good looking display piece. While it in theory has some play features and a good minifig selection, I would not recommend kids playing with it too much.
The house itself looks great and probably one of the most realistic, small-town houses made by lego. The ability to flip sides with nothing falling off is quite impressive as well. It also has great little references splattered about for any Stranger Things fans.
My main gripe with the set is it’s repetition. It was fun building the top (normal) half of the house, but you then do it all over again for the bottom. While there are some differences of course, the core of the build is the exact same which makes it feel a little less like progress and more like you had to redo a mess up.
Additionally, the instructs have you dump the contents of 5 bags at once to build the two identical trees, making a cluttered mess of pieces on my table
Given the nature of the set, repetition seems inevitable and I expected as much going in, but it should be kept in mind if you decide to get this. I have a feeling this theme will be a one-off, so get it before it’s gone.

Almost perfect set

Was overjoyed to get this set for Christmas as an adult collector.
Pros:
-Cool minifigs interspersed throughout the building process
-Both houses and truck were a lot of fun to build
-Fun references in the decorated pieces
-Surprisingly high detail in the rest of the build (almost UCS level)
-Quite sturdy once fully assembled.

-Most decorated bricks were stickers
-Trees droned on a little
-Some small details kept falling off during the assembling of the halves
-A couple of piece placements were confusing in the instructions
-A little challenging to flip (go from the middle, grabbing both roofs)

GREAT DETAILED SET!

This was a great build all the until it came to attaching the Tree Stands. The set would become loose at times do to the pressure you have to put into connecting the joints. But after connecting those you can push down everything and it looks great. This is definitely a display piece I can't see much play with it without it tipping over.

Great fun and not a difficult build

This was a Christmas Present from my family and with the whole Covid thing finally got time to build it. I read a few of the 1 star reviews and don't get it. This was not difficult and I have had no issues with it falling apart, instructions where clear and I had no issues while assembling. My 9 year old son helped me assemble it and we had a great time building together. What I found extremely amusing was that the "Eleven" minifig was in bag 11... clever guys!!!. Keep up the good work!!!
