Very fun build but legos are of sub par quality

Awww, Nuts! This set was a blast to put together (the hidden gems are delightful) but, the LEGO bricks themselves are really poor quality. You can see where each brick was connected to the mold, leaving a discolored mark. Disappointed for the cost of the item.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The worst build

We love Legos and have built many. That said, this treehouse kit took away our Lego joy. Myself and 12 year old son built this together. It is unstable, difficult, and poorly designed. We are very disappointed because it was an expensive set. We only gave it any stars because it looks cool.

Fun for adults too!

This was a Christmas gift to myself. Our huge tree in our front yard actually has a treehouse in it, so I thought this was pretty cool. I decided to sit down on a Saturday and build this while listening to music. 8 hours later I was done. It's an amazing set with lots of detail and is much bigger than I anticipated. My 10 yr old son is a huge LEGO fanatic and his love for LEGO has influenced me greatly over the years. This set was fairly easy to put together and I love the different rooms and that you can change out the leaves for Fall. It would be great to have some snow to add though. My only other suggestion would be to add in the yellow outlines in the instruction manual for where pieces go. Highly recommend this set to anyone- definitely one of our top 5!

Truly Wonderful!

Not only does this set look outstanding, but the experience of building it was extraordinary! The first time I saw the set, it immediately caught my eye. The aspect of nature and that kid-spirited joy of cool and adventurous treehouses was absolutely perfect. AND the fact that the plant parts are plant based plastics??? Therefore creating awareness of protecting our environment? Absolutely Brilliant. I was so impressed. You can even change the seasons! And everything is so gorgeously detailed -- from the kids room to the Bathroom to the Parents' room. I felt adventurous just building it! Whether it be for a kid or an adult, for decoration or play (respectively), everyone and anyone will appreciate it.
The set itself wasn't extremely hard to build so long as you follow the instructions very carefully. I was initially a little intimidated because another review warned that it was difficult, but even during some of the confusing portions (like the inside and outside of the trunk), the instructions made everything very clear. But even then, the challenge was amazing and so much fun. This definitely has to be my favorite LEGO set so far. It was a little pricey, but now I can honestly understand why. The time and hard work it must have taken to create this masterpiece... it is on another level. It was worth every penny! I promise! The Creator and LEGO definitely deserve an applause because this set was absolutely amazing. I loved every second of building it. Thank you so much!

Fun build, but can't fully finish it

Most of the build was fairly easy to put together, however, when trying to put the corner pieces of the tree trunk on (steps 123 to 146), it is super impossible to attach. They do not line up equally on the attaching pieces, and they move around too easily. Additionally, the black round pieces break off easily, meaning you cannot get it to stay, unless you are super lucky. I have to wonder why it was designed this way. My niece and I gave up on these steps after spending way too much time on it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hmmm...if things aren't lining up quite right, try double-checking your build. If something's a little out of place earlier on, that can throw things off enough that later sections don't come together correctly. Also make sure all the pieces are pressed tightly together.

Unlike Original Design

Come on LEGO, why can’t we have the original design of this treehouse?!! I understand the design and coloring was changed so that it is more child friendly but can’t the AFOLs just have one treehouse that’s for adults? After all, there are numerous treehouse sets that are children friendly that comes out yearly. Please think about your AFOLs, considering we are the ones with the money to spend on large sets such as this. I will still purchase this set but it is a huge disappointment that I will now have to change the bricks so that it looks more like the original design.

Cool, difficult, and weird??

A little late to the build. It's a cool set, but it is a little more difficult to build. I don't know why Lego highlights pieces in just some instructions. They highlight in some instructions, but not others.
But the "hidden" scissors, that's the weird part.

It's time for a fun fact! Did you know that the pair of hidden scissors are a nod to the designer whose day job (when he's not designing awesome LEGO Ideas sets) is a hairdresser! So the scissors found their way into the final 'cut' of the Tree House design!

WORST BUILD EVER

Everything is flimsy, instructions are poorly designed, you can't distinguished light brown from dark brown. Some steps are poorly thought. Hours of stress, I am finishing it just to say it was finished but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SET TO ANYONE. Looks nice, but it is not.
