Amazing set!

Got this set from my family as a 36-years birthday gift. Have built it together with my son (5 years old), one bag each evening before his bedtime for a couple of weeks.
It has been an amazing experience. The set is truly beautiful, and my son got very intrigued by the small secrets like hidden scissors, jewels and the book in the children's room. He loves to play with it, but the set is more of a display piece, as it is a bit fragile in its nature.
Since my birthday was in spring time, my family had ordered a spring outfit for the tree on Pick a brick. It has pink foliage with pink and white flowers. I’m amazed by how beautiful it looks, and have put it at a prime spot in our living room. Guests have commented that it has the same effect as a bouquet of flowers.
We are planning on ordering Halloween and winter/Christmas decorations for it as well, so it becomes a dynamic family project, that will change each season.
Highly recommend this set, as it is both fun to build, and a beautiful feature for your home.

Renewed my love for LEGO

Growing up I always loved LEGO, it was one of my favorite hobbies. As I got older I kind of lost interest and viewed it more as a children’s toy. During the start of the pandemic I was scrolling through Instagram and saw this treehouse that someone else had built and I was immediately obsessed. It brought back so many memories from my childhood and sparked a newfound interest in LEGO for me. I immediately went to the nearby LEGO store and picked it up. Ever since then I have been buying sets (specifically the IDEAS collection). I appreciate that LEGO is not only catering to the younger builders but the older builders who grew up with LEGO as well. This set is not only a great build with so many little details, but an awesome display piece. I highly recommend purchasing this set, especially since it is allegedly close to retiring.

Worth the money!

I enjoyed the build a ton.
It was fairly easy to understand. Though, at times challenging.
It was very well detailed and quite a large build.
I don't think this set would have been quite complete if it hadn't been for the choices between leaves.

I do highly suggest you take your time with this build.
The overall color scheme of this set was well thought out.
I think anyone who builds this set, no matter their age, would enjoy it!

We love the Tree House

This was a pretty challenging build for me, but I loved every minute of it. It is one of my favorite builds, and fits perfect in our wood cabin home. My wife loves it as well. I am 62 years old and have FINALLY have a treehouse (even though I can't climb into this one!).
I would recommend this to a friend!

My Most Favorite Lego Set of All

This has become my most favorite Lego set of all time. It wasn't until I saw an online video review that persuaded me to purchase. The video showed the fall colors and had the branches angled down a bit which made the tree fuller looking.
The tree is solid. The build is a bit slow with all the small parts, but the little details in each room of the tree house keep it interesting. The color combination of the blue roofs, orange and yellow leaves, and brown tree are great... the green forest floor adds a nice contrast. The small plants are perfect and the mushrooms are the best, the color really pops.
Lego and the Ideas designer really hit it out of the park on this one. Thank you!

This is my first lego review ever. I got into engineering after a childhood of growing up with classic lego and stumbled across lego again. Childhood nostalgia overload! Lego has come along way from last I remember. In regards to this set in particular, I really like the concept. A treehouse is a childhood fantasy for lots of us out there.
The design strategy for this set is really interesting and I found it enjoyable. The instructions are so detailed, had there been less than the odd 440 pages, it would have been confusing. At times, the brick layout on the tree bark seemed as though it was sort of random when the design was still in concept. I read some of the previous reviews about pieces missing or stuff not fitting and I understand where they're coming from. I was dreading a piece missing, but none were.
What I noticed about the instructions was that the pictographic representations were excellent, however, there was a time when I mistook a 1x12 plate for a 1x10 plate earlier on in the build and later on in the build, pieces weren't matching up, where I had to later backtrack the steps and realized that I made a mistake. It's understandable, because a lot of the pieces are brown. Sometimes, it's easy to mistake the rotation of the studs on a multiple sided studded block. It's completely understandable.
Not gona lie, there were a few times where I thought a piece was accidentally missing, because the piece was a plate in lieu of a tile that I thought it to be.
All in all, great build and it took me hours to complete. I think it made up for the 20 years of missed lego from my childhood. Would definitely recommend this product; it's a great display piece! I managed to fit mine on a shelf at the foot of my bed.

Gorgeous Set! Slightly frustrating build

What a looker! The diverse detailing of the trunk and cabin exteriors, off-grid organic feel of many elements, and truly three-dimensional display qualities of the model are real standouts. This build was a journey through different techniques and I found a lot of joy in discovering the clever ways similar elements were varied to provide texture and details.
My biggest complaint is that the instructions were less than clear, for several reasons -- no highlights calling out where the new pieces are placed besides some arrows, and a lot of difficulty determining piece colors between two shades of brown and tan/orange which didn't exactly match the bricks' color. It wasn't as smooth a building experience and led to several mistakes which I would only notice toward the end of a bag. Make sure to build under a good light source!
I also noticed some quality issues with the bricks -- stress lines on some plates, dots from what I imagine is the injection mold process, and a single piece that was super warped for which I've requested a replacement. YMMV.
I found the build experience varied, between the gradual layering of the landscape base, technical construction and geometric feats of the tree trunk and cabin roofs, and the seriously delightful and clever cabin interiors which was my favorite part of the build. The bathroom's various water features and plumbing in particular blew me away. There is a real care to make this set look amazing from any direction, from the landscape features up through the branch and leaf structure. Lots of elements that are open to customization!
As others have noted the final steps of adding the leaves bordered on repetitive, and swapping out colors requires quite a lot of changing out, so I recommend mixing colors from the start to provide a fuller "canopy". I chose to use almost all of the light and dark green leaves with a smattering of brown and yellow, to evoke the transition into autumn.
Definitely recommend this one more as a display piece than one for active playing, but a strong recommendation regardless!

Amazing and creative set!

This Lego set is so creative and includes so many details! My husband and I took turns completing steps. Overall, with “tagging” each other in, snack and bathroom breaks, and assembling at a leisurely pace while watching cheesy movies, this set took around 14 total hours to build. We both made a few mistakes which took some time to correct, but I would allow around 10 hours of build time if you are planning on getting this set. There are so many different ways to display the fun family. We decided to use both leaves sets to match the changing colors of the trees on the A-frame set. I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out!! It was a fun build, but there are parts that are difficult to assemble and other parts that require a more delicate touch… wouldn’t recommend for little children (which is explained by the 16+ on the box). The build is not as ‘clean’ as the A-frame, but it is a treehouse and we all know a true treehouse has its quirks. Love that the studs are bare to help with a rough tree bark look. Don’t hesitate to purchase this, especially if you already have, or plan to get the A-frame. The two sets create an ideal vacation setting!
