Another benchmark set

Along with the Blacksmiths Shop, Assembly Square, and Lion Knight's Castle, this is one of those sets that stands as a benchmark for me - representing the pinnacle of what modern Lego is capable of.
As a finished display piece, the Tree House is just spectacular. It's got a visual "heft" that allows it to make such a great impression on the shelf, without being so enormous that it takes up too much space.
Sure, if you really look at it, some of the scale is a bit odd (the leaf canopy is not quite right in proportion to the cabins and the rest of the tree). But even though this set is a "real-life" scene, I think people complaining about problems of scale and proportion are - if you'll forgive me - missing the forest for the tree (house).
This set, to me, isn't meant to be a perfect replica: it's meant to be perfectly evocative. It FEELS right. It evokes, for me, a fantastic sort of nostalgia for a setting like this.
All the little details packed into the cabins, the incredibly fun staircase and walkway build techniques, the tremendous care and attention that went into the scenery around the base, adds up to a set that is nothing short of magnificent.
This is Lego at its best. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Very sound center!

I was amazed on how structurally sound the center of this tree is. From the bottom-up. It’s more of a family resort treehouse then a childhood one. I incorporated both green/orange leaves (light/dark) for a feel of transition between summer and fall. You’ll be really amazed at how much goes into making this build. It was my first IDEAS selection and I really love it.

A fun and creative build!

I loved this! Such a fun project! I love: the details, the heart on the tree that says "Build Your Dreams," the decorations in each of the rooms, the variation of texture and color built into the walls of each room, the treasure map and hidden gem. A lot of fun and a lot of thought went into this treehouse. I absolutely love it!
I did make a couple of alterations. I noticed the kids' room and the bathroom are connected by a rope bridge, but the adult room and the bathroom are not connected and there is a sizeable gap between them (see attached picture) . Thus, I connected the 2 and added a mini deck (see attached picture). Now all 3 rooms are connected and accessible. I also added a fourth chair at the table, as I thought the family of 4 needed 4 chairs instead of 3. These were my minor changes. Overall, this is one of my all time favorite builds!

Ok, how do I get my people from room to room. I can get to the main bedroom, I can get from the bathroom to the kids room.

Surprising build with great results

While it wasn't the easiest build (during certain stages, it was difficult to keep one section together while attaching another), the results were impressive. I love the details and surprises in each cabin. The rickety, organic style of the piece, paired with the multitude of accessories, make it a fun, satisfying set overall. It also gave me ideas to use with my own builds!

Wrong brick.

I am on bag 13 but had a problem with bag 12. They gave me the wrong brick but I had a box of LEGOS and found the right one. Other than that it’s one of the greatest legos ever.

I Love this Set!

This is such a cool build! I justify buying sets for myself by choosing sets I’d like to build, and my kids will enjoy playing with. This set checks both boxes! It was a nice challenge for me, and my kids can’t keep their hands off it. I’m also super psyched about LEGO’s commitment to switch to sustainable plastic by 2030. I just wish it would happen sooner!
