Horrible set up

I've had this thing for maybe two months man. I can't even get it set up. It might be my lack of experience
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better than their old cameras

I bought the 16 channel DVR with 8 cameras after the last DVR died 3 years ago. The original DVR I bought back in oh gawd, 2014. On the Original system, within 6 months the camera's resoultion went from perfect to garbage. Everyday kept getting grainier and grainer. So I started replacing the cameras with "Bad" cameras at werk (they just needed to be powercycled). When the DVR started acting up, I looked into other systems, but decided on the DVR16-4680A with 8 cameras. I wansn't about to use these cameras, But I thought, why not, thell get replaced in 6 months cause they're garbage, and I'll get good cameras from work. Had a snafu about 2 months ago. Cameras started glitching out about 2 months ago. Month ago they died. Contacted Swann, they told me it's because I used yellow connectors instead of the blue connectors for the BNC connections to the cameras. After my niece had an accident today on my property, so I went to change out the camera with a known good one, one problem, the camera didn't work. It was a working camera when I disconnected it. Know what the problem was!? Bad power supply. Replaced the 2 amp powersupply with an 8 amp powersupply. and they all started working again.Come to find out all the cameras that died shared an 8 way distribuiton harness on a 2 amp power source that I got with the kit. But now that the power issue if fixed. Back to normal, No degregation to image quality 3 years later. But what is to voltage rating on these cameras?
