Worthless as a fitness tracker

As a smart watch is works fine. As a fitness tracker this thing is worthless. If I choose "other workout" no matter what I do, I always "burn" the same amount of calories. Whether it's arm day, leg day, or HIIT, after an hour I always burn 316 calories no matter what. I've even done NOTHING and burned that many calories just sitting there. Thought maybe it was just that exercise more but circuit training does the same thing. I always have burned 179 at the half hour mark and 359 at the hour mark. I know calories burned is usually just an estimate but it really is pointless if no matter if I'm actually doing something or not I "burn" the same amount regardless. Basically the watch isn't actually tracking anything. Just spitting out the same information day in and day out.

EGC flaked out a few software updates ago

love the design and it's definitely been helpful with getting my health under control, but ecg failed. this occurred after a watch software update. i know this because i was using ecg daily. googling, i realized that many others had this same issue. it has never been fixed. of course the watch is out of warranty now. not paying to fix something i didn't break and we still don't have blood pressure here in the us.

i love my watch though it has second hand app that dont work worth a crap. also i have a small wrist and they make you jump through hoops just to get another correctly sized band. they need to have all sizes for all people. i am dissapointed that i paid so much for a watch just to have to cut a hole in the band to make it fit. fit bit was my prior watch and it came with 2 different sized bands and they arent high end like samsung is. indeffinately this is a great watch the company just needs to get with the program that not all people are the same size.

Great until update

loved my watch, kept track of workouts and loved that i could make the background a picture of my pup. but then an update happened and a notification to install samsung pay pops up every 30 seconds, no matter what i try to do to stop it. please fix this!!! it is so beyond frustrating, i have push the home button to even see the time, which is annoying as it pops up shortly after i push the home button. i contacted customer service and was given a ticket number to replace the watch but when i called the number given to me the ran me around for over an hour before they said they could only "repair" the watch. very frustrated with the entire situation. i purchased the watch in may (it is now sept), and now i don't even want to use the watch until this is fixed.

Not Water Resistant. Horrible Opperating System.

the touchscreen on my watch became completely non functional. as with other reviews on this site, it is clear that this watch is not water resistant at all. i take my watch off for showers and swimming, but leave it on for handwashing (like everyone else probably does). after two years of this, the touch screen and bezzel have completely stopped working. i can’t swipe to dismiss notifications, i cant answer calls, i can’t see widgets, and i can’t use apps.
there should sincerely be a class action lawsuit and the waterproof claims that came with this watch.

GARBAGE. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE

thought would be an upgrade. off the bat i was super disappointed in the fitness tracking. it doesn't use heart rate to calculate calorie burn during workouts other than running and walking. every other one just uses your weight info. with this watch, i rarely ever got over 8k steps, unless i recorded a run. i liked it as a smart watch though and was trying to stick with it.
yesterday, it got stuck in a reboot loop for 30 minutes twice. that rained the battery to 50% so i charged it. after 30 hours and it actually turned on....and then the whole bck of the watch fell off. apparently this is a common set of issues that will likely be blamed on water i. i've never showered with it, swam with it, etc. it's never been submerged. i'm going right back to fitbit.

Total waste of money

this watch has life of one year only. warranty expired on aug 2021, and after one week, it's start showing it's true value. Battery draining like anything, have to charge it frequently, after 3-4 hours.

i should have known when both of my active 1 watches failed after less than 6 months. i have been very loyal to samsung, so i upgraded to active 2. i thought surely they have fixed the issues. well after about a month my active 2 suddenly stopped charging and is unresponsive. do not waste your money on a samsung watch till they get it together.
