Terrible in Water
on March 27, 2025

This thing dies with water, I shower with mine on and it is now stuck in a boot loop. I don't recommend using this for swimming it will kill the watch because mine died just from it going in the shower and not being submerged.

Hey there CamHod, Thank you for taking the opportunity to share your experience with using the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2. We appreciate your candor as we make every effort to improve the design and functionality of our product line. The Galaxy Watch Active2 offers a 5ATM water resistance rating, however, to prevent damage to your device we suggest the following tips: > Whenever your device gets wet, dry it thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth. Failure to rinse the device in fresh water and dry it as instructed may cause the device to suffer from operability or cosmetic issues. > Do not expose the device to water at high pressure. > If the device is dropped or receives an impact, the water and dust resistant features of the device may be damaged. You can also use Water Lock Mode to disable your touchscreen, wake-up gestures, and watch Always On when you're exercising in water. Apps that you download and install onto your watch can cause the watch to get stuck in a boot loop or not boot past the logo screen. Rebooting it should fix the problem, but you will need to uninstall any apps that were installed before the issue occurred. If the watch is connected to a phone, you must clear the data for the Galaxy Wearable app. If the problem continues, inspect the watch and charger for damage, and factory reset the watch. For your convenience, I have included some resources below that you can review at your leisure. Let us know if you have any questions or if you would like further assistance afterward by reaching out to Samsung Support. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra

Pros and cons

I purchased this watch because of the great features it had to offer. And it has a lot of great features. Con and the biggest one is that the battery will not stay charged. I have to change it daily. Although it will tell you in the description that it will last for day's. Con. It doesn't have enough workout option. So to really get your perfect Analysis's to your workouts that's not and option. Pros. I love that I can answer a call, text or all the other's on the watch. If only you could fix the battery it would be a perfect smart watch. Eventhough the battery is my biggest problem I would recommend this watch. I'm a galaxy girl all the way..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Loved it till it got updated

i love the watch, keeps track of all my health activities. i dont use it for socializing or texting to conserve the battery life. although i do get notifications for emergencies. i could wear it all day and the battery would get below 50% even if iused it while workingout. the features are wonderful, and i especially loved the disturb feature until it got updated. since the new upgrade a few days in october the battery usage goes fast and the disturb feature doesn't work even if i turn it on, the screen still turns on even when i sleep. the new upgrade has changed everything and when i get home after a 18 hour day the battery is at 35% even with all the features turned off. it is really disappointing because i really liked those features in the watch. i hope it can get resolved soon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing smart watch just wish it lasted longer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this smart watch is everything is claims to be. i really do enjoy it. the only downfall of it is the battery life. i guess i'm used to charging my fitbit only once a week. now im having to charge my watch every other day. it's not a deal breaker but i do enjoy how it tracks your sleep and with a short battery life, it is difficult to enjoy all features all the time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love to Run
on September 25, 2020

the watch has done a great job tracking my runs. it gives some insight that my old watch didn't offer. however the battery life isn't the best. it doesn't even last a full day. i've turned off features know to drain the battery, but i may be missing some.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to use
on February 3, 2021

i love my new samsung active2. easy to set up and use. the only problem i have is i am left handed and wear the watch on my right wrist which makes it hard to use the buttons. it needs to have a feature like a phone where you can turn it upside-down and the face will switch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't take this thing swimming!
on June 25, 2024

Well it lasted me like 5 years so it was decent for tracking my workouts. Only when I went swimming with it once and I did the swimming activity function (it was a chlorine pool) and it was working until the end of my swimming. It just shuts off. Though I was in the pool for about an hour... I bought tools to open it and clean it, I dried it off and tried to remove any water I saw inside it but it's not turning on anymore. Why is there a swimming activity on the watch if I can't swim with it knowing that I'm not permanently damaging the watch?? I liked this watch and hoped it could lasts me 5 more years. So I'm sad now :(

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your Active2, Triii. This watch is rated 5ATM, and passed military specification (MIL-STD-810G) testing. 5ATM means that they are water resistant to up to 50 meters in depth for 10 minutes. This rating makes some Samsung watches suitable for low-velocity and shallow-water activities. I will be attaching a link that provides information on how to protect this watch while in water. If you have any further concerns or questions, please contact us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/what-is-5atm/ smsng.us/Samsung-Support smsng.us/Warranty-Info smsng.us/Facebook-Messenger smsng.us/Twitter-Messages smsng.us/Samsung-Community

Looks nice, but the durability suck!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the paint chips very easily. if you get water damage its not covered under warranty. i suggest not swimming or showering with the thing (which is 2 big reason i.got the watch ) had mine for under a year. if you want something that can handle everyday usage and can handle water from swimming, have a great speaker, and can function even with getting banged against things on everyday use. i do not recommend this watch!!!
