Glitchy

The back portion where the heart monitor is came off. I took it off the charger and noticed the back portion was still stuck to the magnetic charger but the rest of the watch came off. It's almost three years old. It is also very glitchy. I often have to restart it to get certain functions to work. Loved it for the first year. After that I started having issues. The watch has never been submerged in water and I am very diligent with keeping it clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

battery sucks which makes the watch useless.
on September 13, 2023

battery sucks so it is useless. can't even use the cool watch faces because the battery will die in like an hour. i like all the functions like taking calls, getting messages, tracking sleep. the phone function work's well as the other caller can't tell i'm talking from my watch. i've heard this has a lot to do with initial charging of the watch, it needs to be cycle charged a certain way but nowhere in the literature that comes with the watch does it tell you to do so!!!

Not very well built
on October 15, 2023
Posted by: SandPatti
I have had this watch for about 1-1/2 years. The back has fallen off and I have glued it back on. Yesterday, Oct 14th the front of the watch loosened up while I was walking and I have been trying to super glue it back on. I have never used this watch in water. Only wear it for walking - everyday 2 - 3 miles per day.

Irreplaceable Battery
on March 27, 2024
Posted by: PinkFlamingo

I loved my Galaxy Watch Active2. Unfortunately, the battery died. The cost to have someone else try to replace the battery is prohibitive. Purchasing a battery replacement kit, online, is less so, but no guarantee that we can replace the battery successfully, without damaging the phone and that it will even work afterwards.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not worth it

The watch after an auto update uses up battery life super fast. 8 hour work day starts at 100% and ends at 39%!!! Then, after using the swimming exercise mode, watch completely stopped working after the 3rd time in water. Only used 3x in the pool, 45 minute water aerobics class. Watch dead. Water penetrated although I did not go below recommended depths etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hey Tidytammy,

Samsung Care+ is great for those unanticipated situations we sometimes find ourselves in, like forgetting your Galaxy Watch in the seat of your taxi on your way to catch your flight, having your device stolen from your bag, getting caught in a rainstorm without your Water Lock feature engaged, to dropping your Galaxy Watch and shattering the watch face. We also have over 700 authorized repair locations nationwide to take your device to be repaired so you can get back quickly to what you enjoy doing most in life. Your Galaxy Watch Active2 is not impervious to dust and water damage in any situation. It is important that all compartments are closed tightly. Your Watch Active2 is water resistant based on 5ATM rating, which means submersion up to 50 meters per ISO standard 22810:2010. It is not intended for scuba diving. You can use Water lock mode to exercise in the water. While in Water lock mode, touchscreen, wake-up gestures, and watch always on will be disabled. From Settings, tap Advanced > Water lock mode, and tap Turn on to enable this feature. You can also access Water lock mode from Quick settings. Swipe down from the top of the watch, and tap. Press and hold the Home/Power key for two seconds to turn off the mode. For your convenience, I have included a link below that contains your device manual. Don't take this thing swimming!
on June 25, 2024

Well it lasted me like 5 years so it was decent for tracking my workouts. Only when I went swimming with it once and I did the swimming activity function (it was a chlorine pool) and it was working until the end of my swimming. It just shuts off. Though I was in the pool for about an hour... I bought tools to open it and clean it, I dried it off and tried to remove any water I saw inside it but it's not turning on anymore. Why is there a swimming activity on the watch if I can't swim with it knowing that I'm not permanently damaging the watch?? I liked this watch and hoped it could lasts me 5 more years. So I'm sad now :(

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your Active2, Triii. This watch is rated 5ATM, and passed military specification (MIL-STD-810G) testing.
5ATM means that they are water resistant to up to 50 meters in depth for 10 minutes. This rating makes some Samsung watches suitable for low-velocity and shallow-water activities. I will be attaching a link that provides information on how to protect this watch while in water. If you have any further concerns or questions, please contact us at Samsung Support. -Kelvin
