Paul, thank you for your feedback on your Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2. This device is compatible with swimming or water exposure, however, we do recommend enabling the "water lock" feature of the device to help prevent water damage to the device. You should get a good year out of the product

I bought it July of 2021 and it is already failing. I don't do anything unusual. About six months ago it decided it didn't want to turn back on. Eventually, it did. Now, on one side the touch sensors are not working so I had to switch my most active apps to the left side...Now, any screen that wants to open, opens at will. I'm a Samsung electronics girl, a maintenance technician told me never to buy their appliances, I think I will add watches to that list. My tablet(S), which I use heavily in my work, have functioned fine and so have my phones. This watch has been a disaster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Faulty after 1.5 years

At first I was very happy with the watch. It tracked steps, calories, and my workouts however the battery life was not as advertised. I would have to charge the watch every night and by the time I would head to bed it had about 15% left. I even adjusted the battery life and app usage to extend the life of the battery but was only lucky to get it to just over two days before having to recharge. The most upsetting thing was one morning I out my watch on and went about my day and went to check my watch and it had 0 steps tracked. The watch just stopped tracking everything and I was unable to scroll down on the watch to the quick settings. I am not facing a similar issue with another product. I am convinced that Samsung short hands their products for them to only work up to two years and then become faulty after that. This is what has happened with the past two products I have bought

Samsung Galaxy watch 2

I've had mine for about 4 years. I've never had a problem with it. I've only had to update the software a few times, and love the updates. No need for a new watch. I've gone threw a few different phones, not galaxy and they all have worked with it, right now I have a Motorola. I only came on here to see if I could find accessories for it to style it up a bit lol

Hello...Thank you for your review of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2. We value your input as we strive to innovate and improve on the design and functionality of our products. I've linked an article that offers water resistance tips including the following:

The Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Fit2, Gear S3, Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch3, Galaxy Watch Active, Galaxy Watch Active2, Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic, Galaxy Watch5, and Galaxy Watch Pro can stay under 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.

Whenever your watch gets wet, dry it thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.

Do not expose the watch to water at high pressure levels.

Please feel free to contact Samsung Support, also below, for additional assistance. Thank you for being the best part of Samsung. -Bethany

A disappointment

I've had this watch for about 2 months, took it kayaking yesterday and with it being rated for 50 atm of under water pressure I thought it be fine being splashed on and momentarily submerged under a 2 inches or so, but no. Touch screen now goes completely haywire by its own, but is unresponsive to touch

Glitchy

The back portion where the heart monitor is came off. I took it off the charger and noticed the back portion was still stuck to the magnetic charger but the rest of the watch came off. It's almost three years old. It is also very glitchy. I often have to restart it to get certain functions to work. Loved it for the first year. After that I started having issues. The watch has never been submerged in water and I am very diligent with keeping it clean.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
