Love it! But there is a wish list

First of all I love my GWA2, I came from the Gear Fit and obviously there is a huge difference in form and functionality. That being said there are some things to get used too as well as changes/additions I would like to see Samsung do. First and foremost is the ECG feature, this is a promised feature along with fall detection and neither have been activated. The other is more google integration, I understand it runs on Tizen but Google's "Wear OS" seems smoother than Tizen to add on to that Samsung is still holding on to Bixby being a viable smart assistant, it's not. Bixby is horrible on the galaxy phones and it's 10x worse on the GWA2. Please, please, please removed Bixby and replace it with the Google assistant. Other than those issues the watch looks great, is comfortable and light on the wrist and incorporates very will with the galaxy platform. It has a very decent speaker for taking calls or even watching YouTube videos on and reply to texts are a breeze.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my watch!

This is an update to the first review I wrote. I was having some problems with my watch battery draining before the day was up and the watch freezing up soon after I got it. The support person asked me to do a reset. I was unhappy that I was having these issues but still hopeful the reset would work. I can say the reset did work and my watch has only locked up on me one time since the reset and the battery life has been great! I am still learning everything about the watch but love it. I will be much happier when the ecg comes out. I am having irregular heart beats and this would be a great feature to have at the moment. I think this is a great watch and I am happy I invested in this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall not very happy with this watch

I had a Fossil and took it back to get this watch because it had Samsung Pay. However i didn't realize that it didn't have the NFC version of it so it is not as useful and i should have stuck with Fossil.
Bixby rarely works for me. The feature to have it turn on with wrist movement never works
The battery life is abysmal and goes down 55% in Night Mode. You would think night mode would use LESS battery.
Most of the time i can't get the watch to come on with double tap so i have to use the button.
I am not able to delete emails from the watch which would be a really useful feature.
About the only feature i do like is the workout app.

Heart Rate Monitor is Useless

It's a really nice watch with a good speaker. But one core function -- heart rate monitoring -- only works manually. When it's set to automatic monitoring and I'm rest, it registers a heart rate 20-30 bpm higher than actual. When in a car or on an airplane, it's even worse. Apparently this is a software issue that has gone unaddressed for a long time. (See this post: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/Wearables/Galaxy-Watch-Active-2-issues-summary/td-p/1390908). To me, this is a deal killer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

MST Missing - a big disappointment

Not gonna buy this Galaxy Watch Active2.
Short Reason - NO MST (Magnetic Secure Transmission)
Long Reason - I own a Gear S3, bought in 2017, was really impressed with style, battery life. Features were limited but enough at that point of time. The real fun part of owning this S3 Version is constantly surprising the retail store cashiers where those card swiping machines are old and don't have the modern NFC tech, compatible with Android pay and Apply pay. When you get ready to pay with your S3 watch, they start saying "THESE DOESN'T WORK HERE, THEY ARE NOT THE MODERN TECH ONES" and before they could finish saying that, the payment goes through and they'll be like " I DIDN'T KNOW THAT, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'M SEEING THIS GOING THROUGH" and I liked those surprises on their faces and that's where I proudly reply "THIS IS SAMSUNG PAY AND ONLY SAMSUNG CAN DO IT". I did try Galaxy active2 for a few days and I won't be able say that with the new Samsung watches including Galaxy Watch Active2 and Android Wear now supports more apps with more features. Only Gear S3 watches has this tech, so I'm holding on to this old watch. Once my Gear S3 Frontier is obsolete, I might go for Android Wear Watch unless Samsung comes back with MSD in their new watch this year.

Nice hardware and screen display: Software is ok

I'm happy with the screen, connectivity, and notification features. Fitness data/feedback needs improvement. It has a fancy heart rate monitor, but there is no software feature to exercise within specific hear rate zones with a vibration alert for the low and high setpoints of those hear rate zones. It seems like a basic training feature that should be on all smartwatches with a heart rate monitor.
