The seal on the watch failed less than one year from purchase date, and the back of the watch came off while I was swimming. The subsequent water damage (caused by the failure of the product) caused water damage inside the watch, which in turn voided the warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dies from overheating

much like an old xbox 360, this will eventually die in a loop where it has zero battery but charging it causes it to overheat and stop charging. making it an elegant brick.
i really enjoyed battery life when it worked. the app selection was always painfully limited if you want to use this for more than a notification preview on the wrist and alarm. but with this poor of quality i'm annoyed enough to consider getting an iphone in the future just so i can have a watch with it that works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
