Comfortable watch, mostly good features

the wrist band is comfortable, the watch is attractive, the watch face and watch face options are good. the syncing to my phone works well. the fitness tracking is mostly good, but sometimes the screens jump around and the tracking is off, for example when swimming laps, or taking a break from swimming and just walking in the pool between laps. i was disappointed that i need to jump through app hoops to get a blood pressure measurement. i found adding apps and widgets a challenge but that may be because i am not a young wiz.
I would recommend this to a friend!

received this as a gift so giving it a chance but so far it is leaving me flat.this product rarely stays linked to my phone even if side by side. the apps available are meh at best. at least on my watch there is no way to filter what notifications can be received so its vibrating all day long because of emails. this version i cannot answer texts or see images sent to me. i cant add dates to my calendar directly from the watch. the pedometer function is not very sensitive like my fit bit. i can’t initiate updates directly from my watch either, always says try later. the look and comfort of the watch is nice but other than that i feel that it has limited function unlike an iwatch
i received the watch a couple of days ago - got the 44mm; i thought it was going to be big for my wrist but it's perfectly oversized! this is my 3rd samsung watch and i really love the display, the watch faces look crisp, the touch bezel is amazing the, the os is smooth, etc. the biggest problem for me is that - this is the "active" version! so the step count should be accurate (at least close to accurate). however, there are big gaps - i have seen it stop counting my steps while i'm jump roping, running or even walking! my first samsung gear s2 is way more accurate than this newer version. this is disappointing! my galaxy watch also stops counting steps - i thought they would've fixed that problem with this "active" version.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i recently got the watch and i like it. you can do lots with the watch which i like. i'm used to the fitbit and this is definitely an upgrade. however, the battery does not last long at all. it says it can last a day or so but i find myself needing to charge it every day. it's kinda inconvenient. overall, it's a good product just wish the battery lasted longer.
Bought this watch after reading it is Android compatible. This is not true. Many features, such as EKG, are blocked from being used unless you buy Samsung's Galaxy phone.
the touch sensor could not read my touch so i had to fight with it to set any security. also i couldn't download shazam, the whole reason i wanted a watch was so i could shazam songs i like in yoga class. worst christmas gift. i'm a fan of android but not this watch.
great overall watch. the calorie tracker rounds up based on the heart rate monitor which estimates your heart during workouts. yet, the sleep tracker is pretty good as the watch does great with tracking resting heart rate.
samsung advertises their watches as android compatible, but you will only get a limited subset of features unless you go purchase one of their phones. predatory behavior that hurts customers.
i received an active 2 for christmas, but samsung decided some features, like ekg/ecg, will be not allowed to be installed on anything but their phones.
there is no technical reason for this, they just want $$$.
