Clock on microwave does not stay bright,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not like that the clock on the microwave oven does not stay bright, you cannot even see it. The clock on the oven stays bright all the time. I have seen other reviews from older microwaves that had the same issue and am am surprised Bosch has not fixed the problem.

both beauty and great function!

room for improvements

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, we like this unit. Sleek in appearance and over works well. Oven has several features that were important in our search (eg: proof function.) However, there are several details that could have been better engineered. One is the display brightness. (This was commented on in previous reviews I read before purchasing. I wish I had heeded them.) The display for the microwave is very dim, especially when it goes to sleep. Even at maximum brightness, it is difficult to see, particularly if the user is not tall. (The upward direction of gaze makes it even dimmer.) Second, the door orientation for the microwave could be better. Since the microwave is the upper unit, it tends to be high on the wall. For a shorter person, the downward hinging door is an obstruction to reaching in for food. It would be better with a side hinged door to allow easier access. I'm not an engineer. Thus, it is perplexing that these things weren't considered by someone more knowledgeable in design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

poorly functioning junk

the microwave display is unreadably dim, and is not anything to do with energy savings. it is worthless. the oven often locks up and will not function until it is re-booted by flipping breaker on and off. the oven temperature is out of calibration by 20*F and i cannot find a way to adjust it to read correctly. overall, junk.

Microwave fuse keeps blowing - 3x in 10 months

We've had this combo less than a year and the fuse keeps blowing because the microwave unit given is plugged into the oven. In a 10 month period, it's only worked 6 months. The workaround is to make sure that people clear the time before opening the microwave.

Dynamic duo!

I especially like the preheat function, that lets you preheat from your phone. As with the warming overn, it has a Sabbath mode, which I find to be very cool. Love the design of the appliance as well.

Microwave Defrost time to short

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very disappointed to find the maximum defrost is related to 3#. May times frozen meat products or other items such as frozen contaainers of soup require more defrost time than assigned to 3#. This ultimately causes the user to have to re-start the defrost cycle more than once. Recommend adding a defrost cycle option that allows the user to specify the defrost time or provide a pre-set for something like 25 to 30 minutes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with both oven and microwave. Depth of the microwave makes it a little difficult to reach the back of the unit for cleaning. Microwave programs are not intuitive. Oven is awesome.
