Excellent Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Bosch Dishwasher is a big improvement in many ways over my older Bosch. I love the light that tells you how much time is left in the cycle. I also like the Speed-dry cycle, which lets me do a light load in about an hour. One of the best improvements is the Crystal -dry, which finally gets all my plastic containers dry. With my old dishwasher, I would have to dry each one by hand when unloading the dishwasher. The only thing that could be better is the silverware tray on the top level. The silverware slides around too much, but I still prefer it to the baskets on the bottom level.

Best Dishwasher Ever!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bosch SHP88PZ55N has the best racks for the money, including a V-shaped third rack and an adjustable middle rack. The extra capacity and flexibility allow it to hold more dishes per cycle (including hard-to-fit items like trays, pots, and cooking tools) than its competitors, all loaded properly so that they should get totally clean. At 40 decibels, this dishwasher is also quieter than other dishwashers for the price, and most people won’t even hear it unless they’re standing next to it. Bosch dishwashers have one of the lowest repair rates of any brand, plus a better warranty and more helpful customer service than most.
My wife and I love this dishwasher.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Third Rack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our 4th Bosch in 17 years. This is the first model where the thrid rack is useless. There's no "silverwear" holder (well the one included would hold enought for one meal for 4 people). Because of the deeper profile, the second rack won't hold glad/rubbermaid containers and if I lower the second rack to fit those, I can't get pots into the dishwasher. What gives? Not sure who you designed the space for except those that don't cook and only host cocktail parties!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Could be a 5 star given time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed ours about a month ago and love it so far. Very quiet. But I did notice last night that on the speed 1hr setting, around the 28 minute mark that it was louder than I expected it to be. I haven't looked up the icon that was displaying on the floor to see where in the cycle it was nor have I checked if the sound happened again the next time it was run nor have I checked if it happens on the full cycle, so lots of variables. It might have been dishes improperly loaded and were banging against each other. We'll see.
This model is a little pricey but we were doing a whole kitchen renovation so the added expense for this model upgrade wasn't a huge percentage of our total budget.
I do like the clean look of it. The brand name is not "in your face". In fact, you can't tell what brand it is unless you open it. I'm actually a little suprised about that.
The majority of the front panel is a brushed stainless so there are no finger prints. But the handle area to the top is shiny and shows every little touch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's Up With The 3rds Rack?!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying my new dishwasher, although I haven't tried out all the features. Getting the cup rack on the 2nd shelf to fold down was difficult. Similarly, getting the silverware basket to separate was difficult; I was afraid in each case I was forcing these things -even looking at the webpage to tell me how. BUT my only real complaint is about the 3rd shelf which only came with 1 of the silverware holders. The literature says it will hold a service of 12. Totally impossible. Made me wonder if the installer left 2 more someohow in the box?! or if this was a ploy to get me to spend more money buying 2 more. 3 of them probably would hold a 12piece place setting.

Nice Machine

The dishwasher works very well. Extremely quiet, Cleans glasses very well and with shine. Dries well, even plastic. Stacking configuration is not easy. One big complaint - NO MANUAL except online! In the race to save costs, consumers now have have their ipad handy and scroll with much difficulty to learn about the machine. There are settings that have to be made on the machine to get it right and there is little instruction on how to do it. Come on Bosch, you're in the BMW class, don't let penny pinching cost cutting turn you into a Chevy. Besides, with a manual peope will rad it and get to know the machine themselves much better, saving you consumer inquiries.

Very disappointed

This does a good job of washing, but a terrible job of drying! Even after the repairman was here to adjust it, we have to towel dry most items. I have a 25 year old dishwasher up North that works better than this one.

Fabulous dishwasher

I use it for silverware and spatulas along with other things that may for weird in your dishwasher. I also use it for washing baby bottles. I love that it tells you how much time is left once it starts. The fact that you can adjust the racks is a plus also! You can rearrange your dishes so that they fit perfectly in the dishwasher. No complaints here. We love our dishwasher!
