Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been impressed with my Bosch Benchmark dishwasher since the day it was installed. It is soooo quiet. Living in a small house that is a very good thing. I can talk and be heard while the dishwasher runs. And my dishes have never been cleaner! Plus my dishes are dry when I put them away. The only option I wish they offered would be a robotic arm to put them away! Well done Bosch.

The Power of Silence

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher has worked great and was not difficult to install myself. Barely hear it running, usually all you can hear is the water running into the sink drain since the machine itself is so quiet. Dishes come out very clean and the Crystal Dry system works great especially if you let it sit overnight to allow the moisture to evaporate off the dishes. We had several glass dishes that had a film on them from our old dishwasher and we had become so used to it, we didn't know it was there. The Bosch cleaned off the film and left the glass crystal clear. We rewashed all the glass dishes that were stored in the cabinent we were so thrilled.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Dishwasher of dreams

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation was simple by following the installation guide. It was setup and installed in less than 30 minutes. Our last dishwasher had a hard time removing grits that dried onto cereal bowls and would also spray food onto the dishes as it washed so i was looking forward to trying the Bosch to see how it handled that. Well after a week we finally had enough to run a load. This one also has the top third rack so i wanted to see how well it cleaned on the very top level also. I started it up and immediately the light shines on the floor telling you how much time was left. I stood there for 3 or 4 minutes and heard nothing going on but the timer was going down. I opened the door to verify it was on and working and it was!. It was just that quiet! After the timer was done i opened and looked over all the bowls that had dried on grits and they were spotless. Everything including the plastics were completely dry! The build quality of this machine is top notch and allows for many different options. You can take out the middle rack completely for extra large items. I cannot say enough good things about this purchase. It has given me confidense that some manufacturers still build quality items.

Room for improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dishwasher sight unseen during the pandemic, so we mostly went by the Bosch name, since we also have their cooktop, fan, oven and microwave. There are both good and not so good features and performance to weigh before buying. First the pros: This dishwasher is energy efficient. Because it has no heating element, it cannot melt plastic, so you can put plastic in the bottom tray. It has lots of cycle choices and a wonderful delay feature. It shows that it is running by a light which shines on the floor. And it has a top tray for small items. But now the cons: The most glaring problem is a caution in the literature that you must put tall trays on the right side, and that happens to be the only place the silverware baskets will fit, so it's apparently one or the other. More generally, it is obvious that this dishwasher was optimized for plates and glassware, while my cooking, at least, uses skillets and pans. Skillets won't fit vertically because although this is a tall tub dishwasher, the middle arm is too low and would hit any tall vetical skillet. (apparently you can remove the middle tray and fit a gadget on to wash taller items, but who does that?) The distance between the lower and middle tray is so short that even when the middle tray is raised, a common Rubbermade gallon pitcher is too tall to fit in the bottom. And pots placed face down on the middle tray block the upper rack from being washed, so your bowls are not cleaned. Every time I turn it on, the apparent default is "crystal dry". This feature is puzzling because the literature says not to use with delicate items. I'm not sure what that means, but I am assuming that means nice glassware and plastics, so that would be a no for me. The plate racks are spaced and tilted at an angle that makes me skip a space between each plate so they don't block each other. Because it is just the two of us, I can run this dishwasher once a day. But if we were a family of 4, I would have to run it more often than that. Altogether, I do not see this dishwasher as a marvel of German engineering. It will work for us, but it is not beautifully designed and I hope Bosch can improve the interior design of the trays to better fit actual cooking cleanup requirements.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love, love , love our new dishwasher. Definitely the best we've had in 40+ years. Without pre-rinsing dishes are spotless, silverware looks new and even plastic containers are dry. Highly recommend!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We LOVE LOVE LOVE our new dishwasher! We like the stainless steel interior and the extra top 3rd rack. The coolest feature is the LED floor display that counts down the time left as well as what cycle the dishwasher is on. BUT, best of all is how so super quite it is. Absolutely amazing!

very happy with my decision

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had it about a month, since just before the pandemic caused everything to be shut down. It is a major improvement over our 2015 Kitchen-Aid. I gave up on that one after it broke down for I think the 5th time in five years; the SECOND control panel failed. I shopped for Bosch because of its stellar reliability ratings by other buyers. Already I am especially enjoying two innovations relative to our old one. Most of all, the water softening feature. An included water test kit allowed me to measure the hardness of our water (high!) and a sophisticated control sets the speed at which the machine dispenses salt. Our dishes were coming out with limescale and now squeaky clean--literally. The new shallow top rack holds enough flat items to free space below that we have to run it less often. The owners' manual seems helpful in recommending the most efficient stacking patterns and explaining the many options for run cycles and adjusting the height of the middle rack. Pricy but as good as promised, so far.

Bosch Benchmark

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this about two months ago to replace another older Bosch. This model has the third upper rack and somehow this model seems to hold much more dishes and glasses then our old model, The upper rack is ver useful for small misc items. The timelight is a feature we thought would be useful and it is a nice feature. There is a 60 min cycle we mostly use and works perfectly for most of our needs. If you need the cycles with more muscle, they are there. Warning: This model uses a regular 3 prong electrical plug that plugs into a regular outlet....meaning this is NOT hard wired. You will have to have an eletrical outlet installed under sink as there is no room beind the dishwasher for that. This is extremely quiet and we could not be happier with this purchase.
