Not What I expected

I've had this 4k Smart TV for about 4 months now and must say I'm impressed with some aspects and not so much with others. Watching TV it has an amazing, sharp, detailed picture. The Dolby sound through my soundbar is also above average. But for movies and other videos, whether from Netflix, Blu Ray player, YouTube, etc., the picture is sometimes unwatchable. I admit it was in someway my own fault for believing the ads about the "effective refresh rate" being 120 hz. The TV refresh rate is 60 Hz period. If I play with the picture on the menu I can sometimes get a somewhat better picture though it is still fuzzy. And that is very disappointing. Always check the specs. The refresh rate listed there is the native refresh rate of the device and no amount of supposed electronic enhancing will make it anything else. So look for 120 Hz for the motion or refresh rate in the specs. Anything less will disappoint.
So for me, TV picture-excellent, sound-very good, movies-not what I expected.

To make sure you’re getting the most out of you VIZIO TV, we’d recommend making sure your devices are connected with an HDMI cable, and are set to broadcast in 4K (2160p) or Full HD (1080p). You can also individually adjust your picture settings in the menu. For brighter rooms try using the ‘Calibrated’ setting, for darker rooms try ‘Calibrated Dark’.
